Alliance Medical at PET/CT Scan, Northern General Hospital, Sheffield. Apart from the 60-minute delay to my appointment as a result of a late delivery, the care provided to me this morning for my PET scan was amazing. I knew what to expect, and this helped put me at ease 🌈❤️🌟 thank you

Risk management is almost always reactive rather than proactive. In a rapidly changing climate this needs to change. Otherwise we will be facing ever increasing likelihood of further catastrophes.

Having a log of medical devices/ equipment coming to end of life, and being able to put measures in place to reduce them becoming obsolete. Linking into NHS supply chain partners to understand wider issues that could impact on us receiving new parts etc..

At @nottmhospitals.bsky.social being able to horizon scan is something we're working hard to fully adopt. One example is being aware of when specialised commissioning funded contracts are due for renewal. If they withdrew funding, what is in our gift to continue delivering that service..
