Reality is: They aren’t for “community,” despite them being in it/the “makers,” of it/etc. (“Get that bag.”) Stop and think at what cost, and be the change, or sure ok, eat at places while they continue to support places that want to take our rights away or are genuinely harmful. Just my opinion.

Like in example I know we can’t stop everyone from eating at (you know), but we can stop putting our time, energy, money, etc. into folks/companies who are putting their effort and time into harm. Giving them our support, time, and money does more harm.

Started with adding some foam around the eye sockets to give them a little life! Then added the cheek fluff, magnets for eyelids, and played around with eyelid shapes for a sleepy look.

In those ways I can only then understand the anger, but it’s often very much misplaced when said. Like, even then- callout posts achieve nothing when done this way and are not healthy to anyone even the people making them if there is no point or reason to the anger, etc. I hope this all makes sense.

Considering that in the fandom the small % that are fursuit makers there are- it’s even smaller % that will stray from “same face,” in commission openings. No judgement for those who do it because it works for them, it’s easy, it’s profitable, it’s less work because you’ve perfected a design, etc.

…it may not result in the outcome that the person who is commissioning is commissioning you for. Like.. Other than your brand, folks are also commissioning you for your skill level, time in the field, quality, etc. and for their designs to come to life! Not always with same face is that achievable.

When rather their anger is so misplaced in what they are trying to say. Like, If we take something that’s supposed to be a custom.. You are being trusted to bring something into a 3D aspect, but will not stray from the same face aspect because you are doing what’s most comfortable/easiest/etc…

I understand it only in this way: As (myself) an artist and fursuit maker; it just— makes sense logically to do things the way that’s most comfortable as an artist and hence forth profitable because it’s your *BRAND*, that *SELLS*.. Even when not home! Doing stuff for you to help- flow and the love for things will come with that. Treat yourself, honor your routines, and most important take care of your body and mind. Try games or letting it flow with something you create. When waves crash, go with the flow, so you don’t drown.

What you love becomes your everyday more than you ever expected can be overwhelming for sure. It can and absolutely will affect your mental health because you feel as though your routine is lost I suppose. I feel like in times of burnout it’s best to try and ground yourself with a routine of home.

Literally we think it was our neighborhood kids who just came and knocked it down repeatedly. We even bandaged it with sports bandage after the first time and she started thriving again, but the second time she was completely dismembered and kicked over. It was so sad. Our other ones got ate. 😔
