Apparently, I was brought to a theater to see Fantasia when I was a toddler and screamed bloody murder at the Sorcerer's Apprentice's marching brooms that damn near drowned Mickey. No more of that flick for me until I was older.

Eh, I talked to people who grew up in Metry or Kenner when I was living in New Orleans and New Orleans proper might as well have been another planet as far as they knew.

That's sadly incredible. Wow.

My husband was a little shocked at "unplanned road trip." He loves to plan trips and would probably be a tad paralyzed at going in and having little to no knowledge of the roads, places to stay, attractions, what have you.

Saw an item describing some Texas counties as disaster-prone and my brain went to "places where every possible bad thing that can happen to you will happen," which could be far worse than disasters like floods, fires, tornadoes when I consider it.

I don't see the end, either. My mom gave me mace when I started college. My dad didn't get it when he mentioned my having it at airport security ages ago (pre-9/11) and it got confiscated. Probably still doesn't after all this time.

To this day, I think of Elizabeth Montgomery and recall her in Bewitched and in a movie I saw on late night TV when I was a kid called A Case of Rape in which she was the rape victim but was herself put on trial rather than her rapist. Some shit keeps floating again and again and again.
