Fear. It’s the oldest tool of power. If you’re distracted by fear of those around you, it keeps you from seeing the actions of those above. -Fox Mulder, The X-Files Season 2, Episode 3: Blood

Heads up: If you’re a former 23andMe customer, now’s the time to delete your account. The company just filed for bankruptcy. That means your genetic data - the most personal data you have - could be sold. Here’s how to delete it: 🧵

With the passing of #SB104 the chances for my kid to live the next 3 years safely in Ohio have vanished. We're battling the shelf-life of her blockers to move on time. As a result I've set up a Go Fund Me to help us leave by this summer. Donate if you can, share either way, please. #ProtectTransKids

Evergreen

A series of photos of Dana Scully in a scene from The X-Files along with the following text: “I still believe in this country. But I believe there are powerful men in the government who do not. Men who have no respect for the law and who flout it with impunity.”

#xfiles25days Day 22: fav revival episode TLAOFS - The X in the window, squatchin’, the parking garage meets, Reggie Something, the alien on the Segway. So perfectly nostalgic and also terribly current. “I want to remember how it was. I want to remember how it all was.”

#xfiles25days Day 17: fav S8 episode I’m torn on this one, but picked Deadalive simply because I remember re-watching the final scene where Mulder wakes up SO MANY TIMES after it first aired.

#xfiles25days Day 16: Christmas fic I don’t have any specific recommendations, but I just want to say a big THANK YOU to all of the writers and other creators who share their work with the fandom! ❤️❤️❤️

#xfiles25days Day 15: fav S7 episode Je Souhaite - Scully’s excitement at examining an invisible body. Mulder humming the “I dream of Jeannie” theme. M&S hanging out drinking beer and watching a movie on Mulder’s couch. This is a fun one!

#xfiles25days day 13: fav S6 episode Season 6 is probably my favorite season and there are so many episodes I love. I’m going with Field Trip, but shout out also to Triangle, Dreamland, Monday, The Rain King, and HTGSC!

#xfiles25days Day 11: fav Skinner scene “This is where you pucker up and kiss my ass.” In the early seasons, it wasn’t always clear where Skinner’s allegiance lay. It was fantastic to watch him stand up to CSM like this. youtu.be/pDDkKvZuamk

#xfiles25days Day 10: fav S5 episode Bad Blood - One of my go-to episodes to rewatch. My list has tended toward angst so far, but this is such a fun one!

This is mine too. I don’t love season 9, but I did enjoy a little Johnica. Day 9: fav Reyes scene #xfiles25days

Lindsay 👽🛸 @linzx1013.bsky.social · 08/12/2024

#xfiles25days Day 8: fav s4 episode Paper Hearts. It centers on the Samantha storyline without being a typical mythology ep. A compelling villain. Protective Scully. And, of course Mulderangst - the scene in morgue where he’s looking for a broken collarbone to see if the skeleton is Samantha 💔🥺

Lindsay 👽🛸 @linzx1013.bsky.social · 07/12/2024

#xfiles25days Day 7: fav Doggett scene This scene was probably the first that softened my feelings toward Doggett. Say what you will about him, but he did care and try to offer support for Scully.

#xfiles25days Day 6: fav overall MSR moment The hand holding, the gazing, Scully’s clear fear for Mulder, his humor to deflect from the seriousness of the situation. The deep connection evident in this scene really got me hooked on MSR.
