Starting with the DNA sequence of a #phage genome, #PholdAPhage will create a 3D reconstruction of the complete phage, almost like you did cryoEM on it! Check out Renee's awesome software github.com/reneegreen81... to assemble unknown phage particles one protein at a time
A computer generated 3D reconstruction of a phage, based solely on its genome sequence. For this image, we started with the genome, and used PholdAPhage to create the structures. Colours are based on pLDDT scores.

@ebi.embl.org serves an incredible amount of data to support biological sciences Exabytes of data but the biggest growth nowadays is imaging data Dr Joanna McEntyre. Interim Director, EMBL-EBI #ABACBS2025
Every 10 minutes some one publishes a paper citing the EMBL-EBI, every months 300 patents cite them, and every year 40 million visitors

I worked with the Australian Science & Maths School to design new Year 10–12 curricula: phage hunting, of course! The students discovered & sequenced a new jumbo phage, and will present their work at @abacbs.bsky.social in Adelaide next week. Proud of these young scientists! #phage #ABACBS2025

I received way too many emails this year, and unfortunately there is no longer a skew towards getting emails earlier in the week (sigh, Fridays used to have a lot fewer emails). Averaging ~50 emails per weekday now. Data extracted from Outlook, so only work related emails.
A violin plot overlayed with a scatterplot. Each point is an email I've received this year. The violin plots are sorted by day of the week, and I've shaded the time between 17h00 until 09h00 in grey. Most of the emails are received during the morning of working hours.

You're correct, and there are many alternatives to simple bifurcating trees like networks, densitree and splitstree. This is a splitstree example:
