Don't get me wrong, I love the scenes of Bell and Tae together very much, but the chapter where Tae and Key run into each other at a party is definitely my favorite. It's complicated and messy and delicious. I'm excited for people to read it!

Sadly both shops I went to were completely sold out of sealed products, so no ripping packs. ): BUT they did have some of the singles I needed, so I grabbed those, as well as some supplies.

Hopefully both! I haven't been to either of these shops in a hot minute so I don't know what their singles game looks like for Pokemon, but I'll be scoping them out for sure. I've been thinking of decks I want to build all day and I have some cards on my mind.

When I was younger I did standard Magic but all I play now is Commander. It's fun! Just expensive, and I'd like to do something new since I've been playing it for so long.

Linn Foster/Silver 🐺 Follow BYMMS on Backerkit! @linnfoster.com · 28/09/2026

I used to play YGO as a preteen but fell off with it as an adult, when I picked up Magic instead. The expense is what keeps me away from it now. The whole reason I'm drifting away from Magic is it's so expensive. NGL I am curious how YGO looks these days, though. Might watch some videos on YouTube.

#queerwriters goals for the week: WRITE WRITE WRITE. I don't care how much or how often, I just need to get back to writing. I've got deadlines! (And as a reward maybe I can play with some TCG stuff after.)

080

Linn Foster/Silver 🐺 Follow BYMMS on Backerkit! @linnfoster.com · 28/09/2026

I'm going feral over TCGs today. I'm watching Pokemon matches while I do my job haha. Planning to stop by some card shops after work and see what they've got to offer since I haven't been to any of them in a while.

060

Linn Foster/Silver 🐺 Follow BYMMS on Backerkit! @linnfoster.com · 28/09/2026

Could always play with Webcams! I think EDH Play is strictly Magic.

110

Linn Foster/Silver 🐺 Follow BYMMS on Backerkit! @linnfoster.com · 28/09/2026

I looooved playing Pokemon TCG back in the day but it was much more expensive to play back then, so I had to give it up. It's become much more affordable now, so I'm looking at it again. I'd love to play around with my favorite Pokemon. Some of them ate even pretty meta right now, which is cool.

110

Linn Foster/Silver 🐺 Follow BYMMS on Backerkit! @linnfoster.com · 28/09/2026

I've seen the name of this one around but haven't seen any cards yet. I'll have to see if any shops in my area host games for it.

000

Linn Foster/Silver 🐺 Follow BYMMS on Backerkit! @linnfoster.com · 28/09/2026

It's gotten much cheaper to play since then though, it looks like! Collecting is still expensive as hell, but a lot of the big decks can be built for less than $50 now (unlike Commander...) so I'm looking to dip my toes back into it. I'm a huge Pokemon fan so I'd love to play the TCG again.

010

Linn Foster/Silver 🐺 Follow BYMMS on Backerkit! @linnfoster.com · 28/09/2026

I wanted to look into Cardfight Vanguard but the scene basically doesn't exist here. 😔 One shop sells the cards but I never hear about people playing it. I played Pokemon as a kid and a decade ago but back when I was in the meta this one card EVERYONE insisted had to be in your deck was $50 each.

110

Linn Foster/Silver 🐺 Follow BYMMS on Backerkit! @linnfoster.com · 28/09/2026

Out of curiosity.... anyone following me play TCGs? 👀 Any at all. Tell me about them. I LOVE TCGs. I usually play Magic because it's so popular in my area, but I'm getting tired of Magic tbh. I need a break. I'm thinking of getting back into Pokemon. I'm curious to hear about others, too, though.

That's how I feel. I'm underpaid but I'm full time with insurance and absolutely can't afford to lose this job so any time something goes wrong I worry and fret-- when I have the spoons to. Some days my spoons are too low, my emotions just turn off and my mind is like, "Just get through the day."
