As far as I know, there's no officially released trial transcript. But a local reporter from @rangemedia.co live-posted each day of the proceedings. It's incredibly thorough and illuminating. You can start with the day 1 jury selection here: bsky.app/profile/rang...

The Trial of the Spokane 3: ‘The entire weight of the United States government’
The guilty verdict for three Spokane protesters and what’s next in their case.

I agree. Even knowing the history and political leanings of much of the region, I was shocked at the verdict, especially after sitting in on a few days of the trial and seeing just how peaceful the protest was, in contrast with the aggression of many of the officers. It's a travesty and a tragedy.

Lindsey James @lindseyjameswrites.bsky.social · 31/05/2026
I grew up in rural northeast Washington; the political climate is no surprise. But that the charge was pressed at all, and went to trial despite the fact that the former acting US attorney for the district resigned rather than signing the indictment—that should alarm the nation.

Lindsey James @lindseyjameswrites.bsky.social · 31/05/2026
The charge of "conspiracy to injure or impede a federal officer" is a Civil War-era charge, and in this case, was merely an excuse to test the waters for further discouraging First Amendment protest. This was politically-motivated, and if left unchecked, will become a playbook for future arrests.
0147
Lindsey James @lindseyjameswrites.bsky.social · 31/05/2026
To be clear: the protest was spontaneous with no advanced planning at all, let alone between these three protesters. No federal, state, or local officers were injured. The prosecution described the protesters linking arms with their backs to ICE as "force."

Spokane may be small, but this is important for everyone, and deserves national attention: The conviction of the Spokane 3 has chilling, far-reaching implications for nonviolent protest, free speech, and democracy. @hcrichardson.bsky.social @maddow.bsky.social @chrislhayes.bsky.social

The verdict in this case is appalling, and should concern anyone who trusts in the power of free speech and believes in the rights of the American public to nonviolently engage in civil disobedience. This verdict is a warning. Let it also be a wake-up call. www.rangemedia.co/spokane-3-tr...

Absolutely! The framework of "run, hide, fight" is superior to the old model of hunkering in a classroom regardless of the circumstances. But since that was our first, last, and only training on it, and given in ways so oblivious to the audience, it did far more harm than good.

I adore the way this story plays with Chekhov's Law to create tension and then, through a dazzling tour of characters and motivations, still achieves a release that feels realistic and earned. Very curious now about that staff meeting :-)

That tension teachers face—to love and build relationships with all their students while also being on the lookout for warning signs of violence—isn’t new, but I’ve never felt able to fully reconcile the two. And having it thrown so forcefully in our faces that morning has haunted me since.

Then the bell rang. We went to our classrooms to look our tweens and teens in the eyes and wonder which of them we were supposed to recruit to help us murder what statistically would be a classmate, maybe even a friend. And to wonder which of them might snap and bring a gun in the first place.

if the door was breached, we were to grab the gun, pull it into ourselves and down. We also needed to choose three students to help—one to grab each of the assailant's arms and one to go for the head with a heavy object and strike until the attacker was incapacitated. Ideally dead.
