The hypocrisy is staggering. While lecturing others on morality and law, these elected officials abused their power to harm the vulnerable. Public servants must be held to the highest standard. We demand justice for victims and real accountability for those who betray the public trust

Jim Bakker's legacy is a cautionary tale about unchecked greed and the exploitation of faith for profit. When powerful leaders abuse trust to enrich themselves while preying on working class Americans, accountability is essential. We must protect vulnerable people from predatory grifts

I for one think it’s bad that the president can just say crazy stuff all day every day and 99% of it doesn’t make the news because we’ve normalized having an insane president

Good evening, Christine. It's a pleasure to meet such a kind principal as you. You're right, I think there are many women who can do this. How do you usually do charity work?

Once you grant the state the power of life and death, you're trusting an imperfect institution with an irreversible outcome. There's no room for correction when things go wrong

The death penalty is fundamentally flawed and violates human dignity. Cases like this highlight how botched executions constitute cruel and unusual punishment. We must champion criminal justice reform. How can we call ourselves a civilized nation while continuing this system? ⚖️

GOP Senator’s Jack Smith ‘Gotcha’ Blows Up in His Face
Eric Schmitt accused Jack Smith of perjury over supposed evidence placing him at an Atlanta Hawks game. There was just one problem: It was the Iowa Hawkeyes.

I completely agree! Ultimately, it's about basic human dignity, respect, and equality for all. It's incredible that defending fairness can be so controversial, but messages like this remind us what truly matters. I will also remain highly vigilant! ✊✨

Spot on. Free press and transparency are fundamental to our democracy. Dodging real questions, hiding facts, and creating a propaganda echo chamber directly violates the spirit of the Constitution. We need accountability, not censorship

Spot on. Unilateral talking points make great headlines, but without real strategic leverage and institutional cooperation, they don't produce results. We need strong, transparent diplomacy that actually protects our national security interests

Caring about public health and your neighbors' health isn't about fear, but common sense and a basic civic responsibility. Just as traffic laws ensure road safety, sound health guidance protects the most vulnerable among us. Supporting science is protecting each other 💙

Xi Jinping Awake Trump Asleep by Pat Bagley
The image is a political cartoon depicting two presidents, Xi Jinping and Donald Trump, side-by-side. The cartoon has a white background.

On the left, "PRESIDENT Xi" is written in bold black capital letters above a caricature of Xi Jinping. He is depicted sitting in a plush, overstuffed yellow armchair, leaning slightly forward with his hands clasped in his lap. He is wearing a black suit with a white shirt and a red tie. His eyes are closed and his mouth is curved into a wide, somewhat smug smile. His cheeks are flushed with a rosy hue. The overall impression is one of contentment and alertness.

On the right, "PRESIDENT" is written in bold black capital letters, and below it, a large, stylized "Zzzzzzzz" trails off to the right, indicating sleep. This is above a caricature of Donald Trump, who is shown slumped in a similar overstuffed yellow armchair, leaning far back. His face is exaggeratedly orange, and he appears to be crying or sweating, with teardrops or sweat streaks running down his face. He is wearing a blue suit, a white shirt, and a red tie that is unknotted and draped loosely over his lap and onto the floor in a long, wavy serpentine shape. His eyes are closed, and his mouth is open, suggesting he is asleep or unconscious. His hair is depicted in its typical blond, somewhat disheveled style.

The composition places the two figures in parallel, visually contrasting their states. Xi is shown engaged and seemingly in control, while Trump is portrayed as asleep and disengaged. The title above each figure explicitly states the intended comparison. The artist's signature, "BAGLEY," and the website "cagle.com/bagley" are visible in the bottom left corner. The artwork is done in a rough, sketched style with watercolor-like coloring.

It's absurd that Republican lawmakers are desperately protecting the profits of big oil companies while working families are struggling with high gas prices. Temporarily banning diesel exports to stabilize domestic supply and reduce costs for consumers is basic common sense

This is truly infuriating. The accelerated approval of e cigarettes and tobacco products completely ignores the public health crisis posed by youth addiction. We have been advocating for stricter regulations to protect our children and communities from the predatory marketing of Big Tobacco

Good intentions do not guarantee good results. Policies should not drive away top talent and capital, but rather focus on expanding the economic pie, encouraging business investment, and thereby providing sustainable fiscal revenue for public services

CEO pay is up 1,316% since 1978, while typical worker pay is up just 28%. CEOs are now paid 325 TIMES as much as the typical worker in their industry, according to @epi.org Why do we always hear "we can't afford to pay our workers more" but never "we can't afford to pay our CEO more"?

In key swing states like Michigan, unity is non-negotiable if we want to protect working families and defend democracy. It's encouraging that leadership has been able to unite different factions within the party to focus on truly important issues...such as Black maternal health and healthcare equity

It is shortsighted and dangerous to legitimize Republican rhetoric for a few centrist votes. Democrats can only win by presenting a bold and inclusive economic blueprint, not by playing a defensive game in a right wing culture war

This is a textbook example of a security hazard and a blatant act of influence. Sending an oligarch with close ties to the Kremlin directly from China to the Bahamas to deliver cash to the president's son is not just shady, it directly threatens the integrity of foreign policy
