One really nice thing about not having an actively miserable job is that I can just sit down and do stuff on my days off.

One of the most niche bits of self-care I have ever done is get an erasure print about Section 28 that makes it about promoting homosexuality to children, frame it, and hang it above my drawing desk.

Here it is, my greatest contribution to literature. Didn't even make it to two paragraphs.

A piece oof yelowing tracing paper. Several drawings of dinosaurs and trees cover the page, clearly done by a young child. There is also a circular throught bubble from a carnivorous dinosaur with a drawing of meat (coloured in red felt pen) and the dinosaur itself, and child handwriting saying "Food yum". Among the base of the trees are some little dog-like creatures with curly tails. Tadpole-like creatures are drawn in puddles and on the creatures' backs, with arrows going up a tree truck and down onto the creatures.
An adult's handwriting says "Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, when the earth was still very young, there was a little cuddly torosaurus, who got lost (and left behind) in the AND forest. Suddenly, the lost and frightened dinosaur froze from terror. There, in amongst the tree-tops he saw the jaws of a very hungry huge meat-eating dwimokor"
The name of the forest has been added in child's handwriting.

The woman feels fairly modern studio photo, but the baby has a sort of film grain despite not appearing to be a colourised period picture. Anyway, I was trying to figure out what was happening, then I counted the mum's fingers.

I've spent my years on libraries laughing at the books that are set between 1870 and 1955 but with cover models who are clearly on Instagram, but today I picked one up and felt the cover was off in some way. The baby felt like it was both a modern photo *and* a period photo at once.

The pterosaurs have had their heads completely redone based on a very damaged archival item and early photos.
