I saw the statement from Kojima Productions today — it doesn’t dispute any of our reporting so I don’t have much to add there. But I will add that (as I said a couple weeks ago), the Physint cancellation came after several months of negotiations between KoPro and Sony. Wasn’t exactly out of nowhere

Platinum #250 - Onimusha Way of The Sword Absolutely loved this game. Carnage difficulty is no joke. Have to see how the end of the year plays out but is probably in my top 5 but definitely in my top 10 of this year.

btw Kanye did a song Heil Hitler and no one stepped in to oppose his tour(s), which is ongoing. In fact, Kanye is scheduled to perform at one of the stadiums Macklemore has been stopped from being at.

I played this too. It’s a nice 8/10 I would say and feels like a PS2-era character action game which, honestly, is not a bad thing for me. Regardless of that, the tech is quite good with excellent image quality.

If they ended up decimating id Software's tech team then I have no faith in anything they'll ever do again under the current leadership. Between last week and today's news...I just don't know what to say at this point.

This whole end of physical media thing is really affecting me. It’s not just having the disc - it everything around shopping, hunting for things, spending time with buddies. None of it matters to business but it makes me question why I bothered getting into the gaming space at all. Really sad.

Yeah. I was just speculating about Blade. I hadn't looked into it in a while. I've since asked about and been told by multiple people that it's not dead.

Platinum #243 - Mina the Hollower Hardest platinum of the year (and since Silksong for me) and my GOTY. 10th in the world to get the platinum.

Platinum #243 - 007 First Light Game rules. Great blend of Uncharted and Hitman. The writing and story are a huge step up from Hitman. Great set pieces, great Bond Keen to see where they take it next. Platinum is also ridiculously easy

Platinum #243: Lego Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight Haven't played a lego game since I think the DS lol and I skipped Suicide Squad and Gotham Knights so it's been a while since I played an Arkham like and this is very much "my first arkham." Glad I gave it a go.

Platinum #241 - Mixtape I really dug it. I don't think it was a perfect 10, but putting aside whether it nails the 90s or whether the story is good or if this is an actual game there are just some genuinely great moments that can trigger those goosebumps Support Aussie devs!

Platinum # 237 - Pragmata Game rules. Lunatic mode was actually no joke. A couple scenarios were harder than expected and really has you using everything to get through in a satisfying way - kinda like doom eternal or returnal

Platinum #228 - Dispatch Wonderful return to form for the telltale style game. Loved the characters, story and even the minigame. Would probably play a spinoff of just that game on mobile or something. Last trophy was bugged but the patch a couple hours ago just fixed it so made the first 30!.

Platinum #220 - Sword of the Sea A culmination of the team's work from Journey, Abzu and Pathless making one of their best games yet. I really enjoy their games, I think Giant Squid and particularly, Pathless is underrated and this steps it up Also 14th in the world to get the plat!

Platinum #219 - Mafia: the Old Country Exactly what you'd expect from a Mafia game. Average gameplay, stiff controls, pretty with a great story. Probably least favourite game I played this year which is saying a lot for this year because I liked it.

Lil Rizky @lilrizky.bsky.social · 05/07/2025

Platinum #217 - Death Stranding 2: On The Beach Loved it! One of those Uncharted 2, Assassin's Creed 2 and Mass Effect 2 style sequels that improves on the first in almost every way. Extra brownie points for all the Aussie love Thanks @hideokojimaen.bsky.kojimaproductions.jp !

000

Lil Rizky @lilrizky.bsky.social · 27/05/2025

Platinum #214 just in time for nightreign. One of the only PS Studios games I haven't played and while I still liked the other PS4/PS5 era AAA slate more it's still got cool ideas. Shame one of the directors blocked me, or I could tell him I enjoyed it 😅

Platinum #211 - DOOM: The Dark Ages ID done it again. 3/3. I still think Eternal is my favourite but having all 3 entries in the rebooted trilogy so distinct and different helps them stand out as one of the best FPS trilogies out there. Manage to crack the first 40 to get the plat! #doomdarkages

Platinum 210 Felt good returning after almost 20 years. Looked great despite the models. Still holds up and reinstated that I do like ES way more than FO and SF Never got around to shivering isles either. Probably one of BGS's best pieces of content ever including full games

Platinum #209 - Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Just play it. Echoing what everyone said already. My front runner for GOTY, one of my favourite games of the generation and one of my favourite turned based games ever. Managed to also make the first 50 in the world to get the Platinum at 45.

i think it's good when online shooters lack proximity chat and text chat. players should be forced to interact with each other using pre-recorded in-character barks or the abstract pings from Journey.

Happy 10th birthday, Bloodborne. It's hard to articulate how much this game means to me in one post, but it truly changed my life. It's thanks to this game that I met so many wonderful people in the Fromsoftware community. What a privilege it is to be alive to experience this masterpiece.

Platinum #204 and 205 Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii - played 14 of these games in 8 years and it's just my comfort food now. Love the series so much and this was my first platinum for that series. Split Fiction: Incredible, somehow better than It Takes Two, Josef Fares is a genius.
