i like when someone stops posting and folks on here are like “are they ok???”. brother that’s what ok looks like.

Review is a headache. So then it boils down to, an individual/team is either advanced enough at coding that time wasted fixing bad/redundant LLM code could be spent writing what is wanted, or they're new enough that they don't know what faults in the script to look for.

(Forgive assumption of coding abilities) The problem is LLM's lack of context disregarding previous user formatting (and it's own!), and when those 'functional' scripts spiral into verbose nonsense. When updating versions becomes nightmareish because the LLM decides to to rewrite the project (again)

I don't want to just come here to vent anymore but aaaaaa had a dream that there was a big prank being pulled on me and I kept asking everyone to stop but no one was listening and then the PC I got up and running after months worked for FIVE DAYS before the power source went kaput

In general it's getting a loooot easier to use linux distros in general. So you can't really go wrong in most cases. All three mentioned here will most likely support 95% of hardware without having to struggle with terminal commands lmao

CachyOS is good; there's like a dozen options to download lol, but they're all the same to an everyday user. I would argue Linux Mint is the best for new users, just out-of-the-box solid and simple. PopOS is too, but if you're not gaming on it, it can run a little slow on older machines.

Caydennnnn @lilpeepo.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Also i don't know how familiar you are w linux but so far pop os is pretty friendly to newer users in that regard, which i still appreciate lol

Caydennnnn @lilpeepo.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Yeah same boat with win 10 lol. I WAS looking at bazzite bc it's built for gaming but it's a red hat distro and I am a debian nerd 😛 Pop OS is Ubuntu based and also good w/ games, & you can choose an install based on your gfx card to minimize issues. a friend has been using for a year & loves it

Now in Gunmetal Grey!

A person in the background carrying a bag over their shoulder. In the foreground, a large gray cat sits beside a cardboard box labeled "CATS FOR MEN." The text above reads "Introducing CATS FOR MEN™," and below the box, it says "The first feline designed for real, masculine men."

friend is playing riven. Is this anything, or...?

The text says "Riven 1997 version Spoiler-Free Starter Kit", and underneath is a pin art board (the one you'd make handprints in), a preschool toy "see and say" where the child pulls a cord and the toy creates the sound of the animal pointed towards, and a reversi board with different colored marbles/tabs

I need a new genre description for creepy semi-horror games. The kind of game titles that are obviously meant to slightly unnerve you but never accumulate into full-blown threats to the player. The ones that make you walk through creepy halls but there's no monsters. La Croix horror if you will.
