SO & I go to our local liquor store. Guy behind the counter says, hey, you live in (subdivision). I know you! Me: enters instant flight or freeze, heart racing, looking for exits SO: walks over & starts a convo & did not understand why I freaked out. 2 realities. Every interaction is a danger to me.

In 7th grade, so the 80s, the girls got 1 day of self defense in gym class. They taught us to carry our house key btwn our pointer & middle finger to use as a weapon. They told us that guys are taught to protect the jewels so go for the eyes or throat. We were 12. My daughter uses the same key trick

It's Oct 1 & since this year Im doubly bummed, having missed out on @dragoncon.org & going to miss #Halloween, I'm going to post pictures of me in #cosplay. I miss cosplaying a lot, esp my volunteer work w/children hospitals & charities. Think I'll start w/Snow, she became one of my faves #SnowWhite

Think about all the good that could be done just by taxing corporations & billionaires their fair share. I don't see any reason for the rest of us to continue to pay taxes otherwise. If they can spend my tax money how they want, I should be able to spend theirs on safety nets that actually help ppl.

Hey guys, just a gentle note. If you have to tell us that the reason you're upset is because you have a mom, sister, girlfriend, wife, daughter, you're missing the point. Empathy shouldn't exist in a vacuum where you have to know someone. You shouldn't have to have a sister to speak up for women.

Also, using euphemisms, abbreviations, replacing letters with symbols, all get around the mute feature. That's not only rude, it can be harmful. If I've muted the word rape, your r@pe gets around the block. If you continue after knowing this, you're not a safe person & you don't care about consent.

The only thing that surprises me about Cornell is we haven't heard anything from the fraternity. Usually the powers that be in Greek Life would be all over this, distancing from the chapter, laying down platitudes, & other excuses & pearl clutching. That we've heard nothing either way is strange.

Rent & mortgage are due on Thursday & I'm beyond stress. There's no more money after those 2 payments. It's the last of the savings & I still haven't gotten 1 interview.
