Some wonderful news from Sandilands as avocets have been breeding for the first time since this former golf course was transformed into a new coastal wetland nature reserve. And avocet chicks have been spotted! 🎉

Omg, it’s so hard to explain. I saw them first at Futurama in Leeds. Me and my friend just looked at each other in awe. Ian Curtis was mesmerising, unbelievable. Then we saw them support Buzzcocks. They had such a massive effect on me, the songs still give me goosebumps.

Yup I’m ancient but as the saying goes ‘I may be old but I got to see all the cool bands’. The gigs I went to in 78/79 will never be beaten, including Joy Division twice, Bowie, and The Clash and Siouxsie so many times I don’t even know how many 🤷🏻‍♀️

No, I’ve tried the music it doesn’t work with her. I’m watching Blue Lights turned up loud (I cleared it with my neighbours first 😂). She’s more of an action gal than calming tunes.
