It won't fix #China fundamental banking problems only obfuscate it (liquidity vs. solvency). It would temporarily prevent bank runs but that's probably the only thing the government are concerned about. This means instead of Lehman style implosion we see multi-decade slowdown like #Japan. #debt

In strategic terms this is called "nuclear proliferation cascade" where neighboring countries each feels threatened enough in a hostile neighborhood that there's a rush for nuclear weapons. My analysis: If #Taiwan loses all hope of #US deterrence they will go #nuclear. Taiwan definitely has the capability. The hardest part isn't even the nuke itself, it's the delivery mechanism. Plus the primary target isn't that far away. Not just Taiwan but #Japan / #SouthKorea will follow suit.

My hedge is as #globalization breaks down the #semiconductor needed by #AI is going to get even more expensive and out of reach than before which affects it's scale and affordability. AI is one of those tech with long 30-50 year maturation cycle that takes time to grow/mature/adopted.
