God dammit why can't I get the threading right. This is about that grilled cheese sandwich.

Physically square but I can get the sharpness. More of a spiny sharp than spikey, though.

But like a burger? A burger is round. But if your hot sandwich has other things on it? Spicy things are sharp. Vinegary things are kinda sharp. So I see where you're coming from.

No I can see the sense in this. I'm not a convert but I'll compromise on Oval (aka beveled rectangle)

We haven't seen Weird Al live in years, but he put on FANTASTIC performances the few times we did see him! (in the late '90s. So, haven't seen in many, many years. But I trust it's still wild.)

While this is, objectively, the Wrong Cover (sorry, Dan, but it's true), every word of this essay lands. I loved this book as a kid and I love it now, for some of the same reasons and some new ones that only come with age. (Why does OutOfPrint not have shirts of this? Why is there no Folio edition?)

I just got back from FL, with my 4th (!) TSA pat-down. Fun fact: if your crotch lights up the scanner, you have to take your shoes off and have them rescanned, because obv that makes sense. Totally worth it for those two biscoff cookies that I couldn't get a whole pack of at the grocery store.

Also also today: An 8th grade making a 3-part argument (assertion-reason-evidence) about banning pineapple from the cafeteria because "it bites back and makes your mouth hurt." His friends and I informed him that no, that's an allergy, not an inherent characteristic. Today was weird.

I read this book and loved it, but didn't pick up on the neurodivergence because the character seemed perfectly typical to *me* and *I'm* not considered neurodivergent. Multiple friends: "Uh, you are, it's obvious; we've known since the minute we met you. Did you... *not* know?" I guess I do now!

Can confirm. Worth the $5ish to remove ads. There's a stripped-down version, JigLite, that uses less battery & lets you select multiple pieces at once, BUT it skips over the 441-piece size that my old eyes find ideal on the tablet. (1000+ or bust for a real, take-over-the-table puzzle, though.)

This book was great! Hard to make this more a book for me: post-collapse American setting? Librarians fighting fascism through the distribution of subversive materials (and sometimes subversives)? Figuring out queer identity? Yes, yes, and yes. It was really short, that's my only complaint.

This book was short, and packed--not a bit of wasted space. The dark side of being a teenage girl and young woman--the obsessions, desires, power--and finding your way to who you are and who you want to be, but not in the happy-sunshiney way. Really good, and yes, very weird.

Our IT guy sent my school laptop for a warranty repair of a purely cosmetic issue, and the loaner he left immediately gave me an error message about "the trust between this workstation and the primary domain failed" so I'm looking into couples counseling for them so I can get some work done
