I hope this is parody… I’ve read to my kiddo from before they were even born as there’s a chance it might help with bonding. I’ll be devastated when the days comes when they don’t want me to read to and with them any more.

We live in an age where we can get a Jock Joker Lego set. I know there’s a lot of bad stuff in the world but that is pretty rad.

I'm always very happy for the artist getting paid what they deserve but then equally sad that I just can't afford it.

A lovely thing to wake up to; all the art in my feed from @2000ad.bsky.social’s #DayOfDredd that I missed yesterday… Still my favourite character — here’s a long thread of all the original Dredd art I’m lucky enough to currently own💥

A night of culture at the theatre. Y’know, watching Dog Man: The Musical. (Good family fun. Lots of toilet humour and energy.)

Ha! Maybe a scheduling thing? He was over in Shrinking last season and they're both part of the big Bill Lawrence sharing-verse. They do run a strict no-dicks rule under his watch.

Very happy Scrubs is back and still on form. Dr Cox's story is going to break me. Love seeing them make the most out of Judy Reyes even though she's just a guest star. All the new characters are holding their own. It's definitely a reboot done right.

Finished Wolverine and now me and the kiddo have immediately booted up Spider-Man 2. If we could swing around New York on split screen, one as Peter and one as Miles, I don't think we'd ever uninstall this game.

There’s also just the “saying it out loud” thing. There’s so many comic gags that didn’t click until I started hanging out with like-minded people and saying them aloud for the first time.

We dragged our broken bodies to see Forgotten Island and it was great, you should see it! I always want to push for authentic emotion and relationships, and this movie has it in spades. We need more movies with heart like this. Also I laughed out loud at some of the things that got approved in this.

During the pandemic, I'd've killed for a "turn off all enemies" on a number of glorious looking open world games.

Liam Johnson @liamjohnsontype.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Oh agreed. But when you put too much story stock into the prophecy, the franchise breaks. We’ve gotta keep the ‘wars’ in Star Wars.

010

Liam Johnson @liamjohnsontype.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

I love Star Wars will all my heart, but I think whenever you lean too hard into the Jedi stuff the logic crumbles and the Jedis come off looking really bad. Good vs Evil is nice and simple.

I remember back in the day of proper comic message board discussions, voicing that one of my favourite issues of Spider-Man was ASM 267 as it encapsulates Parker luck just perfectly, and then being promptly told I was wrong to have it as personal favourite. The internet. 🤷‍♂️

Liam Johnson @liamjohnsontype.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

...Some issues and tiny runs are being snipped from history, when with a little bit more foresight, they could've slipped at extra issue into Omnibus 3 and 4 and it'd all be there if you wanted it. It's happened a few times in Golden Age and Silver Age stuff from a few publishers, not just Marvel.

Liam Johnson @liamjohnsontype.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

As excited as I am for the JRJR, Bob Layton and David Michelinie Iron Man Omnibus, I do find it annoying that it starts with #115 and the Invincible Iron Man Omnibus Vol 4 ended with #112. Why are #113 and #114 being orphaned? That's my only frustration with these glorious big beefy collections...
