It makes him one of only 9 LFC players with 10+ assists who had the games/assist ratio under 4.00. Alan died on 14 Dec 2009, but will be remembered by the Liverpool fans all over the world. Alan A'Court - 2nd Division International. An interview he gave us in 2004: www.lfchistory.net/articles/3013

..., a certain Peter Thompson was brought in to take his place in the team... A tough competitor for the starting spot, hard to disagree. A'Court scored a total of 63 goals in 381 first-team appearances, but what's even more exciting is his assist tally: 111. 2/3

The young forward went on to score 33 goals in 111 games, with 15 strikes in his most prolific campaign 1971-72, but competing for a starting XI spot with Kevin Keegan and John Toshack was never going to be an easy task and Evans had to move on, eventually signing for Aston Villa in June 1972. 2/2

Bill Shankly passed away on 29 September 1981, aged 68. A tremendous manager who brought Liverpool FC from the dark ages of playing in the Second Division back onto the pinnacle of English football, Shankly led the Reds for nearly 15 years. But he's so much more than a manager. 1/2
