The Kop paying tribute to Sir Roger Hunt following his death at the age of 83. Sir Roger passed away on 27 September 2021 and the mosaic was displayed before the game against Man City on 3 October (2-2). Liverpool's record league goalscorer (244 goals) and a 1966 World Cup winner. Never forgotten!

Robbie Fowler wore the No. 9 shirt for the first time on 26 Sep 1995, as the Reds goallesly drew v Spartak Vladikavkaz. UEFA required traditional 1-11 numbering in the UEFA Cup back then, regardless of domestic squad numbers. As a result, Fowler wore the number 9 shirt instead of his usual No. 23.
