theres like 20 different bsky bots following me all named julie. its scary. it's like they're trying to crowd out my ability to recognize my good friend julie.

it's so funny reading that there were reviews of cube going like "they did not give a good enough explanation about why the cube exists" about the movie where a guy tells you there's no reason for the cube to exist and it only does as a result of structural ignorance and trading of hands

watched cube. i expected cubes and death traps but i'm glad it was also about structural horror and fascism

people: don't watch ayakashi, jump straight to mononoke first arc of ayakashi: girl watches her boyfriend fuck a ghost and we cut to them in bed and him saying "no i think this was a really good idea. i think i made the right choice by fucking a ghost. i love ghosts, and fucking them"

i'm not going to play it but i'm unsurprised new cv is kicking up design discourse because while the series has never been a stranger to divergences in philosophy, it does feel like the easiest way for the konami revival to just be paying indie studios to apply their house styles to brands

there was a video someone posted on twitter several years ago with a caption like "how im serving tboy summer realness this year". I think about it all the time and couldn't find it so I decided to recreate it from scratch today. Enjoy

"we have to get off lv426 and nuke it from orbit like corporal hicks" is a very funny lyric to write about a guy who famously did not actually get to do that

this is a game about being kissed by a beautiful maiden while an inn girl tries to make you her wife and a third, evil girl repeatedly gut punches and tries to violently murder you for very spurious reasons based out of an insane crush she has on a dead man which in a way only makes it gayer

the neighbors got evicted a few days ago. i had nothing but pleasant experiences with them. feeling the lack of presence, despite not having spoken with them much, feels like the space has, in a sense, become dead.

one of the fun things about science fiction, an abstraction of contemporary social fears, being treated as a default pattern for the future, is that perspectives on individual sci fi stories are themselves frayed and incoherent and you can often pick apart pieces you like to prove your theory

the funny thing about dead space is that it is in fundamental concept the most normal dude horror game series ever, and it still got shot in the back twice because ea couldn't get why a new horror franchise without years of built up brand identity couldn't instantly replace resident evil
