From the latest Leger poll. Increasingly clear that Smith thought she'd rein in that wing of the party and instead has created a monster by giving them oxygen. A return to two conservative parties seems inevitable.

The referendum also exposes a pronounced partisan divide. Nearly all NDP voters, 98%, currently favour remaining in Canada. Among UCP voters, opinion is much more evenly divided: 43% favour remaining, while 48% support beginning the legal process toward a future separation referendum.
