There's so much to do still, but a lot of it can be done in production now. My focus at this point is to migrate the wiki to a fresh VPS, then get it configured and hosted on the public internet. @pukupukudragon.com Thank you for hosting the wiki over the years!

Here's a preview. The original wiki used a very old version of MediaWiki, so a lot of effort has gone into making the wiki compatible with up-to-date versions. Trying to keep the aesthetic similar but I had to switch to a different theme for compatibility. There's also a custom video player now.

The current iteration of The Big Cartoon Wiki. A lot is likely to change here. The website has a vibrant aesthetic with lots of oranges and browns.

Some of y'all may remember bigcartoon.org. I thought it was a shame to see all that shut down. I used it as art reference a fair bit while it was up. The plan is to bring it back online (under a different domain). I have the site owners blessing to do go ahead.

I stopped posting my art, but didn't stop drawing. I struggle a lot with confidence in my art, and I'm afraid to experiment with the subject matter when it's posted publicly. I don't have to live up to anyone's expectations, not even my own. If a drawing sucks, it doesn't matter one bit.

Fully agree, I'm very cautious around Proton. Most VPN services are no better than just not rerouting your traffic at all for privacy. Steer especially clear of anything owned by Kape Technologies. As the options are diminishing the best bet may be WireGuard to a VPS from a privacy-conscious host.

Proton has had a number of incidents including brand deals with far-right content creators. iirc Proton still requires customer data like an email, so it's not a true alternative. The only Mullvad alternative I know off the top of my head is IVPN.

My vet gave me kudos on my care, she said I sound like I know what I'm doing and that it shows on her condition. Absolutely the best news i could have hoped for. I'm so happy my baby's thriving 🥰

Baby's first vet appointment! She did super well, and she got not only a clean bill of health, but it turns out that a previous diagnosis she got for her eye was incorrect. Her left eye isn't damaged at all it turns out, it's just a dark pigmentation in one of her eyes that looks like a torn pupil!

Still working out the best layout for her enclosure, so it's often being refurnished. My only concern is, despite her having a steady diet, she's slowly losing weight. She's fairly small for a leopard gecko but her proportions do look healthy. She's not in danger, but I am keeping a close eye on it.

Quick update on Elo after her first shed in my care! I've been very lucky to end up with her in particular, because she's not very timid or shy, and seems to feel enrichment from her handling sessions! She won't eat from tongs yet, but she does eat provided I leave her alone with her prey.

Thank you, she's a looker for sure! Leopard geckos are one of the most common pet reptiles actually, especially among beginners. They're a great starter due to being fairly low maintenance and because they tolerate handling well!

Elo is short for "Elohim", which is Hebrew for "Gods" or "Divinity". I'm not very religious, rather I named her after one of my favorite musicians. I strongly recommend giving her music a listen!

This past Saturday I ended up with my first pet reptile! I'd like you to meet Elo! She's an approx. 5 year old Leopard Gecko whom I've assumed responsibility for. She's already showing her personality and I'm absolutely in love 🥰

Elo, my new leopard gecko, peering out from a terrarium decoration. She is a normal morph, meaning she is yellow along her back with dark brown spots and white along her belly.

Another picture of Elo hanging out inside her cork bark hide. In this picture you can see she has an issue with her right eye. This has been examined by a vet and she's been diagnosed with having a genetic eye defect. Her pupil won't open/shut like the other eye, but she's not in pain from it and she can likely still see out of this eye, just with degraded vision. The reason I say this is because she is using both eyes to observe me. Since I'm unfamiliar to her, I believe she would definitely favor her good eye to look at me if she couldn't see out of her bad eye.
