I visited Ljubljana for #LeToMaGiC issue eight and saw a (very late) NK Olimpija win (the first since they sacked their new manager Mišo Brečko). Though it was even more fun to visit the Zine Vitrin at Dobra Vaga art space and drink tasty Loo-Blah-Nah cask pale ale at Sir Williams Pub. #SubbuteoArt

Last week, the first special issue of #LeToMaGiC was released as part of the *Minizine Mania* exhibition at @lofipublishing.bsky.social. The riso-printed issue 7b features explanations of all zine covers released to date, along with qr-codes linking to the music of the records that inspired them.

The special issue 7b, the ‚Roy of the Rovers‘ comic book that inspired it, the ‚Minizine Mania‘ flyer, the hat that appears on the zine cover and five LeToMaGiC Subbuteo art figures on bottle caps.

I had the joy to visit Southend-On-Sea for #LeToMaGic issue 8 last weekend. Roots Hall is a wonderful stadium - and thanks for the nice welcome in the lovely curated Grrrl Zine Library at The Old Waterworks nearby.

Last year @spiral-tat.bsky.social & @miketyl.bsky.social visited @ozdfest.bsky.social (not the fest, but the person and shop behind it) and bought these wonderful zines for me - thanks a lot! I hope, I manage to visit that magical place myself one day!

I’ve been to Derry for #LeToMaGiC issue eight, too. I admired the murals, my favourite being the one for Nell McCafferty, was happy to receive a bottle cap from a brewing cooperative called Lacada in Portrush and enjoyed the hospitality at @derrycityfc.net.

I visited Dublin for #LeToMaGiC issue eight, but it seems like the famous #ForgottenZineArchive is no longer operating. Though the @marshslibrary.bsky.social has an even longer history. Footballwise it was a pleasure to watch the @shamrockrovers.ie women to win at home.

I believe this is the only known use of Juan Guzman's famed Marina Ginestà photo during the Spanish Civil War itself, an image which has come this century to represent more than any other the revolutionary hopes of 1936. CP magazine Pasionaria, 23 October 1937. Via Gabriela Cladera, FB.

I’ve been to Zürich for #LeToMaGiC issue seven, too. The brilliant K-Set #ZineLibrary exists more than twenty years now - and the Grasshoppers Club Zürich even longer. I also visited the Cabaret Voltaire, of course.

As Garbarnia Kraków left the league last minute and the Kabel Kraków cup match was relocated to a pitch outside town, I visited Wisła in an European cup match.
