Peaches came to us at the end of May after 13 hard years on the street. His time outside definitely showed, he was in horrendous shape and weighed 5
Ibs of mostly fleas. Since then, we have been managing his various conditions. He's dealt with anemia, congestion, gastric ulcers, kidney disease, horrible dental disease... the list goes on. We've been slowly chipping away at these issues and he was actually starting to feel pretty good! A couple weeks ago, he started backsliding and I've been trying to figure him out. This weekend, it became clear he was declining and what I was doing at home wasn't enough, so I had to admit him to the hospital.
Peaches is dealing with an infection, dehydration, another gastric ulcer, pretty awful congestion and a mild hit to his kidneys. Thankfully, after 24 hrs of fluids, he's showing improvement. Through all of this, he continues to have the loudest purr and best headbutts for everyone who helps him
I feel hopeful that we can get Peaches back on track and give him more time to feel loved and cherished, something he missed out on for his first 13 years of life. If you're able to pitch in $1 or $5 toward his care, we would all appreciate it more than you know.
Everyone who has met this little guy knows how special he is and how much he wants to stick around

Mom says none of her food is safe from me. I eat her yoghurt, of course. And her chicken too. But now every time she has buttered toast, I insist on licking her fingers. I’m just being helpful.😹

I have a Big Ask from our community. Many of you will remember our graduates Pikachu and Eevee, who were adopted together. Eevee had dealt with some very challenging chronic diarrhea while she was a kitten, but before adoption, we figured out a food that worked for her & she was all better (thread)

Mom needed a little excitement to start her day, so my zoomies took me up and over her bed this morning. A few times.😹 But after breakfast I decided she needed a cuddle and a nap.

I was up for my usual 4 am zoomies, but cut them short when mom said she was still not feeling well. I cuddled with her and purred until she fell asleep again. It’s a misconception that all cats are assholes.

Absolutely. Today we have a new resident. Her name is Puff. She's about 15 from a family where the dad passed away and mom went into care for dementia. She came to us from Phoenix. Heartsthatpurr.org Turns out she's a lap cat and a purring little delight. I will get her groomed up tomorrow. ♥️😽

A very small Himalayan Siamese cat with beige body color and a typical Siamese dark brown, muzzle and ear tips. She is 15 and her name is Puff. She's an absolute lap cat and a delightful little feline.

The sun puddle I wanted was where mom’s feet were. I laid down and put my kickers on her chair and pushed. Her chair rolled!🙀 I didn’t move her far but I did scream at her enough that she understood that she had to move!😹

Hemi the black and white cat is napping on the kitchen floor in a sun puddle. He’s happy and relaxed now that he’s made me move over. I think it surprised him as much as me when he pushed and the chair rolled over a bit. After that I just had to move out of his way!

Mom pulled my yellow spring out of my water bowl, dried it off, and then sat down to enjoy her coffee. I tossed it right back in, dug it out, and sent it flying the entire length of the kitchen!💦😹

I could have sworn I saw rat’s tail move! So I’ll be watching him, and keeping a paw on him, to see if it happens again!
