We’ve reached a $694 million multistate settlement with Credit Acceptance Corporation. CT customers will be eligible for up to $2 million in financial relief. This settlement directs hundreds of millions of dollars in debt relief and restitution directly to the consumers most harmed.

The CT Insurance Dept approved double-digit health insurance rate hikes that will impact about 220,000 people. This is not on the CID- by the time these rate increases hit their review, it’s too late. We need every player at the table to negotiate cost relief before these rate demands are crafted.

We're appealing a court decision that declined to impose civil penalties against Indie Guns, an illegal ghost gun dealer, that shipped unserialized firearms into Connecticut. Enough is enough. Connecticut families cannot afford to pay even more for healthcare. ConnectiCare and Anthem are seeking average increases of 22.7% and 12.8% for individual plans. For small group plans, Anthem is seeking 17.4% and UnitedHealthcare 18.9%. These increases are unconscionable.

Today, we stopped an illegal anticompetitive agreement between Zillow and Redfin that prevented them from competing. Last year, Zillow paid Redfin to shut down its multi family rental advertising business. This would have jacked up costs for property managers, ultimately costing renters more money.

We’ve reached a $275,000 settlement with a tax preparation company called TaxAct. Our investigation showed that TaxAct allowed Meta and Google access to sensitive taxpayer data. The company will now also deploy safeguards and govern third-party tracking on their site so this never happens again.

Our office and the FTC announced a $4 million settlement with Manchester City Nissan. This dealership systematically ripped-off CT customers through needless, unauthorized junk fees. We sued in coordination with the FTC, and today's settlement will now send millions of dollars back to customers.

Last year, Connecticut ordered Kalshi and CoinBase to stop offering unlicensed sports event contracts in our state. They responded with a lawsuit. Yesterday, a federal judge rejected Kalshi and CoinBase’s requests, allowing us to keep enforcing our gaming laws while the cases moves forward.
