Leslea M @lesleam.bsky.social · 21/09/2026If you haven’t got reason, go hard on emotion. It’ll play well with the separatists, they’re all feelings and no logic. 000
Leslea M @lesleam.bsky.social · 21/09/2026We thought there’d be a better perspective on differences and working together, but our kids were targeted by some of the others, ending with eldest being physically attacked. They’ve both got great social consciences, might have been able to learn that less painfully. Huge regrets for us parents. 000
Leslea M @lesleam.bsky.social · 21/09/2026We had a choice between two schools, a “community school” (very racially and economically diverse with extra programs around indigenous culture and social support for kids at risk) and a smaller regular school. We chose the community school. I really wish we hadn’t. 100

Leslea M @lesleam.bsky.social · 20/08/2026Fun fact: There’s really no such thing as an introvert or extrovert. It’s a gross oversimplification of how people tick. We are all ambiverts, really - most people vary from one side to the other depending on factors like health, how much sleep you’re getting, circumstances you find yourself in, etc 000
Leslea M @lesleam.bsky.social · 13/08/2026Insufferable! I’m a documentary producer, we’ve had people bomb shots on location and refuse to just let us get on with things, but never had someone film it. What a complete piece of shit that guy is. 0280

Leslea M @lesleam.bsky.social · 26/07/2026I’ve heard of it, but I don’t know if I’ve ever seen it. I may have to revisit. We’re at a point right now where it’s very difficult to make this sort of film, people want a dash of hope. And you can’t really blame them given the givens at the moment. 020
Leslea M @lesleam.bsky.social · 26/07/2026I haven’t come across them before. The website looks interesting, lots of foreign films, a little Canadian stuff. And it looks like they want me to download an app. Which, I’m not going to do because I already have too many. 110

Leslea M @lesleam.bsky.social · 26/07/2026We don’t - we talk about “scoring” a film, the result being the soundtrack. I don’t think I’ve ever heard the word used as a verb in industry circles. 220

The fundamental point is very important: we’re going through something right now where, on the other side of it, whatever happens, we can’t be back where we started. The difficulty is convincing enough Americans that this is the case to act accordingly. 822663
