It has not been "for" us for a very long time. Ever since Citizens United, I would say, and to a lesser extent but undeniably before, it has been for the very rich, and both parties are at fault there. As for "by the people," yes, but unfortunately it has been "by" the whims of the stupidest people.

Every single President since the 1980’s would have been told by knowledgeable generals to avoid a war with Iran at all costs. That Iran had been preparing for asymmetric warfare for decades. That starting a war with Iran would be too costly economically and militarily.

Yes. The other part is giant entities like Amazon or Walmart or Target are the only way to get certain items. A lot of us here are forming mutual aid groups for services and goods and repair for some things. We are getting creative to expand boycott. Money is the only thing they understand.

I think you're making a category error here, as it seems you're saying that Israel and the Jewish faith are the same thing. One is a colonialist nation-state, the other a religion. people are aware that america isn't even really a democracy, right? its a republic. we "elect" a handful of representatives, and those rich, corrupt individuals make all of our decisions for us we don't vote on anything meaningful, only what they allow us to. that's not a democratic government.
