Most people do not know the name of this bridge in the South Loop in Chicago. It's been around for 127 years and it was designated a Chicago landmark in 2007. It's called the St. Charles Air Line Bridge. Image at sunrise last Friday.

By late afternoon, hazardous concentrations of PM2.5 in the North Shore suburbs reached an index above 900 on a scale that tops out at 500, according to AirNow, a website that combines data from county, state and federal air quality agencies nationwide. In Chicago, levels of PM2.5 jumped to 669 Thursday night.
Cook County's previous record for
PM2.5 was 223 on June 27, 2023, according to data from the EPA. Representatives from the EPA could not be reached to explain the health repercussions of numbers that exceed the scale.

I finally watched the finale of Good Omens. Too bad it was a bit of a mess. I could see the glimmers of good ideas in there, but there was way too much plot for the runtime. Unfortunately, it looks like most of the humor and joy got cut when they had to condense everything.
