"my son turned out fine" Ma'am, your daughter tears up from the slightest bit of praise and needs constant reassurance that people aren't mad at her

Versions of these Gen-Ai infographics with Alt-text for better legibility!

A text based image displaying the following:
GEN-AI IS THEFT
Generative Ai models such as chatgpt, sora and midjourney steal from artists/photographers/ writers/translators/3d modelers and uses millions of creator's work without permission. ANY use of gen-ai in any creative industry is denying a skilled creator a job.
There is NEVER an ethical excuse for using generative Ai

A text based image displaying the following:
GEN-AI IS WRONG
Not only is it morally and ethically wrong, gen- ai responces often include incorrect information or fabricated truths. Photos created via gen-ai are becoming increasingly more difficult to spot, leading to potentially dangerous misinformation.
There is NEVER an ethical excuse for using generative Ai

A text based image displaying the following:
GEN-AI IS DEATH
Generative Ai models use an incredible amount of energy to answer a single question or generate one image. Ai data centres require a lot of electricity and water to cool down the hardware and they also produce a lot of electronic waste. This is having a detrimental effect on our environment, effecting us and our plant's wildlife.
Sources- MIT, UNEP
There is NEVER an ethical excuse for using generative Ai

A text based image displaying the following:
GEN-AI IS RACIST
Gen-ai data centres are primarily built in BIPOC and low-income communities, exposing them to harmful waste and increasing electricity costs. This is by choice.
Gen-ai data sets have been shown to express a bias against non-white communities.
Sources- Project Muse, CapitalBNews, Harvard.edu
There is NEVER an ethical excuse for using generative Ai

Ghost Trick is one of the games on Nintendo's Golden Week sale, and it's only $10! It's one of the most interesting stories I've ever experienced in a game, translated very well from the DS to Switch. I can't recommend it enough. At least give the demo a shot! 👏

I think doing the review for this was legit traumatizing. If you've never done a pre-release review you have no idea what it's like to be absolutely terrified of being the outlier review only for people to tear you to shreds when you're the only one that didn't like it.

It's that giving time of year again, so this is a reminder that no matter how they try to dress it up, the Salvation Army is not a charity.

The Salvation Army is not a charity. They are an evangelical church that uses donated money to actively oppress gay rights. They've been especially cruel to trans people.

#3157 A helpful tutorial

A digital drawing of one of those drawing tutorials that says 'don't do this, do this.'
The drawing is of an almost naked middle-aged man doing a flying kick. The 'Don't do this' one has a bunch of areas circled and a cross under it. The 'Do this' one is exactly the same but without the circles and a tick instead of a cross.
The text reads 'Needlessly adding red circles will ruin your art' and a smaller bit of text at the bottom reads 'Bonus tip! Add a tick under all your art so people think you did it right.'

my cables will not be "managed" I love all cables equally. each is empowered to roam freely in pursuit of self-directed goals, articulating a personality of its own. that's not a tangle, it's a statement. cable management is a tool of the oppressor.
