i think the dead silence at the start was the worst part. really kicked the rejection sensitivity into high gear even though i know there's no reason for it. like, i'm still me. i've always been autistic. my behaviour just has a definite label now.

well. she's only read a few pages so far (apparently it's nearly 60 pages long) so only knows the basic diagnosis and the recommended next steps (adhd assessment, etc.) so hasn't said much yet. i ended up mostly rambling about the next steps and how long it all takes.

The worst part about twitter is there are a number of people who think they have to be active there who are left-leaning but have had their brains absolutely cooked by the site. You can't inundate yourself in exposure to that stuff without it having an impact on you.
