No, they haven't. Given the number of trans athletes in the United States (Less than 10 in the NCAA) their 2,300 number is absurd. However, most importantly trans women (because we know that's who they're talking about) haven't stolen any medals from any women, because trans women are women.

I explicitly wrote that I am not defending it nor am I shaming anyone for not voting Kaptur/Brown/Acton!

If I were transgender, I probably wouldn’t see the difference between Kaptur and Merrin’s tactics. Maybe I’d even come to prefer Merrin’s, like how Malcom X always preferred to fight a wolf rather than the sly fox.

I don’t begrudge anyone who won’t vote for Kaptur, as it’s not my job to inspire voters to the polls. I also don’t write this dispatch to co-sign on Acton’s, Brown’s or Kaptur’s positions.

If I were running, I’d simply point out that the Republicans spend a bizarre amount of time fixating on children’s genitals, and that I will never abandon any marginalized group that the Republicans have placed on the tip of the spear that they wish to impale the rest of us upon.

It seems easy enough for me. Maybe one day I’ll be able to vote for someone like that in Ohio.

In other words, as a rule of thumb, a high-profile race with polls showing the Democrat up 4 is probably actually a dead heat. A Dem up 5 points or more is probably safe. Up 3 or fewer is probably a loss. The lesson here is to keep the foot on the gas. Don't let up until polls close.
