Absolute same. The cleanser that I had been (successfully) using was so expensive I decided to give a sample of gleanser a try and love the results.

I didn’t know tornado warnings (and the siren tests once a month) weren’t everywhere, either!! Did you have to practice for the chemical warnings like we did for tornados?

“Content” also insidiously shifts significance and validity to the platform, not the substance — content is contained, what defines content is the existence and form of the container

Drowning Doesn’t Look Like Drowning
Drowning is not the violent, splashing call for help that most people expect.

Oooof that is wild! Esp being able to see better!! That would throw me so off! Weird eye tip that may or may not be helpful - wash your closed eyelids in a hot shower with baby shampoo. Or put a hot compress on them for like ten minutes. Helps get oils moving!

Aurora Coolness xkcd.com/3196/
Comic. My experience seeing the Northern Lights: [Graph: x axis is increasing time, y axis is increasing aurora coolness, going from visible glow on the horizon, color only visible in photos -> sheets and pillars of light, colors faintly visible -> “oh wow, it’s getting really bright now.” -> spectacular ribbons of color spanning the sky and illuminating the landscape. Graph shows dips and peaks over many hours with the topmost peeks for only around 5 or 10 minutes.] [caption] Aurora tip: If you get good views of the aurora, keep watching the sky; you might suddenly get great ones.

Until you’ve participated in union contract negotiation it can be hard to conceptualize that an owner or manager would care more about screwing their workers than keeping a business profitable or indeed open at all, but it’s actually not so uncommon!

An update: management has chosen not to recognize our Product, Engineering, and Humble Bundle colleagues as part of IGNCG, instead insisting on a time-consuming NLRB hearing, which took place last week. Help us spread the word: we will not be divided. We are IGN, and we will always stand together.

CLARIFICATION : The Trevor Project's hotline will still be live. But basically this means LGBTQ people can no longer be connected to it through the US national 988 suicide prevention hotline. They will need to be contacted DIRECTLY So spread this around They can be texted. They can be called.

The thing I want the future to know about life right now is the fact every single day I find something new to be infuriated by in the people we so-call “leaders,” I find new despair about what humans can and will do to each other, and I find new awe in the art and kindness that miraculously appears

It's not discussed in all the stories. But a key feature of the revocation of student visas is that there's no notification. This has forced universities to do regular online reviews of current visas to see which have disappeared since the previous query. The lack of notification is by design.

It's annoying how clearly this is going to play out. They gut the FAA. Therefore, the FAA can't do its job well because it was gutted. Therefore, they say "The FAA sucks, we have to privatize it." which is what Project 2025 wants to do. They're manufacturing the crises for their end goal.
