Playing Harvestella today since I missed yesterday 😅 Twitch.tv/lefjoin

... AMAZING. The idea that technology can do what it's doing right now is incredible!!! But at the cost of our intelligence, creativity, and planet? Idk bruh it's like. Wrong time wrong execution.

000

... to actually physically support the tech LLMs need. BUT no one did. And I don't believe anyone anyone with the power to make "ethical ai" (whatever that would actually be) actually cares about who they're taking data from or the environmental impact. Like on paper, LLMs are...

Oh boy, I love opinions. My hot take? LLMs could have been done right. Emphasis on COULD. At the dawn of the technology, the developers could have asked "how can we get data that isn't stealing?" Sure it would have taken longer, but maybe we would have had the infrastrure...

I'm most excited to play oblivion bc the saturation is more than .1%

Listen i try not to ask for much, but the fact that I can't access my emoji keyboard on bsky is killing me. Sure I can try to describe the emoji and get it suggested, but I don't know what half these guys are. I just wanna type 🥺 w/o knowing what it's called or opening another app

We all make mistakes sometimes. It's ok to be in the uncomfortable feeling, as long as you know you're still valuable. If anyone tries telling you you're dumb ill eat them

I’m glad so many people have found my “capybara method” for how to write alt text and image descriptions helpful! However, I know conflicting access needs exist and not everyone can write their own #AltText, so here’s an ongoing thread of tools that can help. Inclusion in thread ≠ endorsement

An infographic titled “How To Write Alt Text” featuring a photo of a capybara. Parts of alt text are divided by color, including identify who, expression, description, colour, and interesting features. The finished description reads “A capybara looking relaxed in a hot spa. Yellow yuzu fruits are floating in the water, and one is balanced on the top of the capybara’s head.” Credit to Puzzle agency, original information from Veronica With Four Eyes and veroniiiica dot com

Always love a good, truly alien-looking robot. This is for inspection, and can unfold to manipulate its environment and open doors.

Now see I know the sarcasm/satire in this article is hard to detect, but if you look close it's there. Sour patch kids aren't made with gelatin, so why would there be a vat of gelatin to knock over? Haha Onion, your antics know no bounds
