🧵2/3 The final antagonist is the head of the cult to represent as a face to the system and doesnt get properly introduced till book 3 as the characters work to dismantle the system. I suspect ill be adding other complicated antagonists as the story progresses tho #AwesomeCharacters

Amalia feels very cold to the touch! Its like a big thing. She sounds very monotonous and blunt typically. And the scent of lily of the valley incense clings to her no matter how much she try’s to scrub it off but at least it covers the smell of blood #ThreeBigFeatures

Oh this is such a big question in The Misery of Daughters! & something Amalia battles with constantly. At the start Amalia views safety as whatever outcome keeps her family alive. But through the story she begins to question if thats enough… #AwesomeCharacters

Amalia is a doesn’t sleep person between the stress and nightmares… Nadya’s sleep schedule is all over the place as well but she enjoys watching the sunrise and sunset (especially on dragon back), and is not opposed to a lil nap time. #JulyWorldBuilders

Amalia does not forgive easily if ever. Even if you think she has forgiven or forgotten i guarantee she has not and is plotting quietly. Nadya forgives too easily, it’s something she actually needs to work on throughout the story as it causes some issues. - The Misery of Daughters #QueerPrompts

In Magaelia: The nobility wear a lot of rich colours, women in long modest dresses & men in fancy suits. Again masks for men are big signifies of station & wealth. Priests wear all white for ceremonies with either gold or silver accents depending on rank. Lots of sun/light motifs. #JulyWorldbuilders

Kealie is the dragon master in the mountain stronghold of Oseria. She is in charge of the training and care for all the dragons on the mountain and their riders. She is a small side character that gets introduced through Nadya’s POV in THE MISERY OF DAUGHTERS. #AwesomeCharacters

I remember my first ever oc name was actually Arianna! And the short story was called Arianna’s Destiny. Sadly i think ive lost the story though i kept the original notebook it was in for a long time and I believe it did get written up but it would have been on my mums old laptop.

Yes her story grew with me from teens to early adulthood and outgrew the constraints of paranormal fantasy. The last iteration i had of her was an epic fantasy series that i still think has some really good potential that id love to revisit one day.

She approached Charlotte, fingers reaching out to brush the series of raised scars on her shoulder. "What happened here?" Mallory asked ever so softly.
Charlotte tensed. Normally the scar remained covered but she'd only donned
a tank top and sweatpants after her shower. It had been exposed when she was in her swimsuit and she'd felt the other woman's gaze inspecting it then but she hadn't said anything. "Uh, I was clumsy." She laughed but even she could tell it held no humour. "I fell into a glass cabinet."
"And this?" Her hand cupped her cheek, thumb running across the little scar
beneath her eye.
She froze. She'd worn concealer to the pool with a good setting spray but washed the makeup off in the shower when she got home and hadn't thought to reapply any afterwards intending to spend the rest of the day in. "It's nothing, it was my fault, it-i.." she stumbled to find the right words.
"You didn't have this scar when Emerson was born."
Charlotte lowered her head. Tears burning behind her eyes. Mallory's hand remained on her cheek, her other hand came up to rest on her shoulder. They were so close together, Charlotte could feel the warmth radiating between them. She had never intended for Mallory to see that scar, she had hoped she'd never find out.

"Hey Charlie," Ollie greeted as she slipped into the lane with her, the pool rather busy at this hour. They'd run into each other a few times and Ollie had helped Charlotte build a set to ease her back into things. The old friends fell into a comfortable rhythm following each other around the lane as they completed their sets. "You're starting to be able to keep up with me again," Ollie panted as they took a short water break.
"Not even close," Charlotte said but she couldn't help the grin that overtook her.
"I was thinking you should come out to lunch with me and the missus one of these days," Ollie said as they kicked out on their kick boards to cool down.
"You can bring that gorgeous doting lesbian friend of yours too if you'd like."
Charlotte flushed though she was sure she was already red from all the exercise. "Uh sure, Mallory's pretty busy at the moment though so I'm not sure if she'd be able to but Ill ask."

Amalia found a bench to rest on. The sky had turned orange and the sun had
disappeared beyond the horizon. She dropped her head into her hands, a tension headache causing a sharp stabbing pain behind her eyes. Nausea curdled her stomach. She'd over done it. With no white smoke burning in the streets, the whole festival pulsated with magic and she could feel it prickling along her skin and pulling at her scars.

A cool breeze swept in from a cracked window. The forest line leant forward;
the shadows reaching for the manor—for Amalia. Silver eyes shined from the darkness. They watched her and she watched back.
Gleans could scent death before the body let its last breath.
This was the first time the creature had come so close.
There are no dead here. Amalia mouthed the words not wishing to frighten her
daughter any further. There is no one here for your taking. Nor will there be.
The trees stood tall, the shadows receded, and those silver eyes turned away.
The creature's tail sliced the night as it was consumed back into the forest.

Rangers Apprentice and Eragon inspired me to write a fantasy short story for school with a girl lead because lil me was like where are the girls with swords and dragons??? The hunger games and a book called Ashes lead me to try my hand at a dystopian novel! I was around 10-11 and never looked back!
