That album stands out in their discography, for me. My old basement band's sound had a lot of unintentional similarities. I barely knew of the band's existence in 93, but by 97, J'd fallen for Love Like Blood, even as the band was breaking up, and never really played like that again.

In the 90s, I used to refer to my 'career' in Ontario's then-burgeoning casual labour market--think: meat market with work boots still on--as 'Working at the Bowling Pin Factory'. I never liked typing up resumés or CVs, and the mental image was more fun.

Slept most of the night and morning. DSKI is still sleeping. I got up at 6:22AM to feed our two beautiful house cats. Went back to bed. Kinda heard a kerfuffle later--knowing our cats, I'm betting 9ish--but everyone settled. 10:55AM, woke up to give our cats their lunch. 12:26PM, coffee making time.
