Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 07/09/2026Slept in a glorified body bag on the Malvern Hills on Friday night. Not really sure how I managed nearly 8 hours of kip including oversleeping past sunrise. I'm not going to be using this thing regularly though. 111
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 24/08/2026It would be irresponsible of me to recommend going camping in the depths of a massive forest with a bloke you met on Facebook, but on this occasion I wasn't murdered. 120
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 27/07/2026My wife and daughter were away at the weekend. I had time to myself to mooch about my local area. I’ve been treated to some glorious Herefordshire scenery on walks in Mordiford and Cefn Hill. I find the word ‘staycation’ pretty patronising, but sometimes you really don't need to travel far. 051
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 10/07/2026An escape without disappearing. Leaving home at my daughter Molly’s bedtime, driving to a Welsh mountain, walking, wild camping and returning home at breakfast. Molly was none-the wiser that Dadda had been gone, or that he had a memorable adventure while she was asleep. 210
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 22/06/2026Been busy since my last visit. I walked a 27 mile trail round Gloucester in a day, followed a river from source to confluence over 39 miles with camping gear in two days, camped in the woods and walked to (a bit of) the Berlin Wall and celebrated my daughter's 2nd birthday. Life is good. 040
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 07/04/2026A glorious family walk in the Forest of Dean yesterday. We did the Lower Soudley and Soudley Ponds Circular. Pretty painful carrying young un up steep banks with already blistered feet, but it was worth it for the views. 020
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 05/04/2026On Friday, the Midlife Crisis Walking Club completed a 22.5 mile walk from Ledbury to Worcester, including the Ledmal 3 route from @slowwaysuk.bsky.social and the St Wulfstan Day Way pilgrimage from Malvern Priory to Worcester Cathedral. We all had a lovely time apart from the blisters. 1163
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 16/02/2026On Saturday, me and a few mates walked a muddy but glorious 17 miles from Ledbury to Hereford along the Herled Two route from @slowwaysuk.bsky.social. A superb day out. Highly recommend getting your friends out for this sort of thing. 2171
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 25/01/2026Starmer you fucking bottle job. Your only chance of keeping that seat and a bloke that makes your sinking ship of a government slightly more appealing to voters. We had 14 years of self-serving twats leading the country and people got sick of it. Here we are again. 140
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 26/10/2025A random afternoon of phone box museums, Neolithic tombs, trig points and the steepest hill I've ever walked on. Nearly dying in glorious Herefordshire. 020
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 07/10/2025Forgot to share our picture with Bertie in Amroth on our leg of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path last weekend. Young un Molly will hopefully grow up with a love for the countryside and the planet. I'm carrying her around enough of it FFS. #CleanSeas 050
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 05/07/2025Last weekend I enjoyed 24 hours of peace and fresh air with a solo 23 mile walk from Hay-on-Wye to Abergavenny. I followed some of the Offa's Dyke Trail and the Beacons Way with a camp amongst the wild ponies at 600m on the Hatterall Ridge... 140

Fresh air, stress reduction, lowering blood pressure, increasing the production of the body's own killer cells (T cells) through terpenes? But we're just getting started. It was never just about Dartmoor. We’re fighting to extend the right to roam, swim, and sleep under the stars - across all of England. 26520144

Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 05/05/2025A good weekend. Drinks in Hereford, the first world problem of having to make Aperol Spritz with Stowford Press instead of prosecco, a class walk on the beautiful/strange place that is Hergest Ridge, and a barbeque with horse riding. These are largely Tory shenanigans for sure, but it was decent. 130
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 12/04/2025I've got a bad feeling about Rovers today and it's a must win or we're fucked. Looking forward to it. 🥴 140
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 04/04/2025Dartmoor again. Legal wild camping definitely feels a lot more chilled than hiding in the depths of the woods hoping some Karen dog walker doesn't see you and report you. This is magic. #RightToRoam 050
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 31/03/2025An epic day in Dartmoor introducing young un to more of Britain's glorious countryside. My back and feet aren't feeling the love though. #RightToRoam #Devon 040
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 29/03/2025Can't beat a good caravan holiday when the weather is like this. You can beat it to be fair, but it's quite pleasant. #ExmouthAsFuck 120
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 25/03/2025I presumed we'd now put all the Barton nonsense to bed, but there are still Rovers fans on Facebook that would welcome him back to the club with open arms. The bloke is an absolute prick. Unfortunately it probably won't harm his new career as a Poundland Andrew Tate. 3130
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 24/03/2025The weekend was class. 4 days of work to do now then another 10 days off. Living the dream. Sort of. 030
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 20/03/2025My back being slowly destroyed over the last 9 months. Hopefully at some point she likes walking. 040
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 05/03/2025Still trying to walk all of the public rights of way near work in Malvern and it is still proving to be a class lunch hour activity. 3.3 miles walked today, 3 miles yesterday. Glorious. #StravaWankers 030
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 02/02/2025I've got an absolute stinker of a cold so had to miss Rovers today. I still had to take the dogs for a walk though and had a lovely wander around the Conigree in Ledbury. The only sign of other people was all the litter dropped near the entrance to the wood. Take your shit home with you dickheads. 110
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 25/01/2025Colwall station to Great Malvern Station today via some footpaths we hadn't walked before. A properly decent walk in our local area. 0120
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 23/01/2025My wife got me a Garmin watch for my birthday for my rambling. The step counter has made me want to walk on my lunch breaks. Day 1 I walked to Greggs. Fucking daft. Today I went for a proper wander to try and find hidden gems. Nothing breathtaking, but better than just sitting in my car. Probably. 260
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 16/01/2025Jubilee Drive in Colwall between the Herefordshire Beacon and the Wyche Cutting has to be one of the most scenic roads in this part of the country and I'm lucky to have it as my commute. This morning it was incredible. 040
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 12/01/2025A fairly bleak winter mooch today around a weird little wood in Ledbury just down the road from my house. Got momentarily trapped in a patch of icy nothingness surrounded by thick bramble and didn't find anything of interest apart from a knackered old shed. Enjoyed it. 1110
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 04/01/2025You see the Northern Lights more than a Gas win these days. Hope everyone enjoyed that rare event today. Up the Gas. 090
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 24/12/2024That was probably the most incredible sunset I've ever seen on the way home to Ledbury from Malvern after work. It's a beautiful world mate. Have a great Christmas. 0301
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 22/12/2024Sketching my mother in law's dead dog. You can't get this sort of shit wrong. 340
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 13/12/2024I've had a 4 day week and it has been well slow. The run up to Christmas feels like a dragged out, pointless exercise. I think we should have the whole of December off tbh. At least I have the excitement of watching the Gas in Birmingham tomorrow. Expecting to leave the game before half time. #utg 240
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 07/12/2024Please consider donating some of the money you'd have spent at today's Rovers game to this. These people need your support. x.com/jugglingmum2... 011
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 06/12/2024Can't believe Rovers haven't taken the opportunity to postpone tomorrow's game because of the weather warning. We haven't had a shot on target in our last 2 league games and both of those were against teams below us. Our form isn't just poor, it's shockingly shit. 050
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 05/12/2024Found this in the cupboard with the Christmas decorations at work so I've had to put it on the office tree because I'm scared that if I don't it will curse Christmas for me for the rest of my life. A lad in the office has to keep turning it away from him, but I keep turning it back on the sly. 210
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 03/12/2024Actual fully grown men getting wound up on Facebook about some players from the womens team being on the Bristol Rovers 2025 calendar. Comments include "wokeness personified", "hate getting force fed this stuff" and "there should be a choice between mens, ladies and mixed". What a bunch of belters. 3130
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 02/12/2024You'd struggle to pick much worse of a draw for Rovers. Absolutely nailed on defeat in an empty ground the other side of the country. Dog shit. 130
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 28/11/2024Had four days of annual leave to burn so a couple of long weekends coming up. Four days off, three days on, four days off. Nice. Let's just all agree to stick to that routine forever. Fuck it. No one really likes the rat race, even if they pretend they do on LinkedIn. 390
Dan Lovering @ledburygas.bsky.social · 28/11/2024That appears to be a grim situation for Matt Taylor who is a decent bloke. I hope he gets the respect and privacy he deserves. Family will always be more important than football. 060
