At some stage this year I think I’m going to try and build some Enzo Mari and/or Gerrit Rietveld furniture out of reclaimed pine from pallets. It is also likely I’m just obsessed with the idea now and won’t even pick up tools to get there.

At a screening of “The Brutalist” and have just hit the intermission. I couldn’t love this film more if I tried.

‘They didn’t come here to destroy’ - Sussan Ley So what about the 900,000 First Nations people slaughtered by cronies of the Royal Family? The forgotten genocide is this nations greatest shame and will always be unfinished business

Sussan Ley newspaper article of her claiming the First Fleet ‘did not come here to destroy’

Flicked the tele on earlier and the drag racing New Years Series was on. Living my best white thrash culture life I was, fully enjoyed it too.

@70mmpod.com Hey folks, I listened to the Spirited Away episode today and heard you make mention of a Bourney or Born List of 12 films from the year of birth to watch this year. I don’t know any other specifics because I couldn’t find any so don’t know if this counts but just made my list of 12.

So, get this, I almost put a post up asking if anyone in Brisbane wanted to hang tomorrow arvo I’d probably be available then realised it was NYE & people would already have their stuff organised so I’ll probably go back to my parents in Ipswich where I currently live & do nothing. Haha, saddo.

Tonight’s viewing is Godzilla Minus One Minus Colour. To think something so amazing could be made even better by just taking the colour away shows how great a film this actually is. Also, Merry Christmas, you filthy animals.

It’s Christmas Eve, I’m watching Die Hard. I’m having ham, eggs, beans and beer for dinner. It’s a wonderful life, oh, oh oh oh.

Just wanted to revisit this and say a) thanks to all who have been in touch but also b) it’s my kids turn to have Christmas with their Nana, we did that year on year off, so no nasty business, just they way timing went. Just wanted to make sure it didn’t sound like I was being bitter. Just sad.

Hey, been quiet, still lonely. Got pedals for my bass recently, been mucking around with that. Still have a maybe project in the works next year. Facing first Christmas without my kids, so, that’s been fun. Also watching creek at back of parents as went under in 2011. Only came up to pool in 2022.

The Albanese Government has been Trumpified when it comes to immigration. The party my late father and my mum voted for all their lives is now unrecognisable on immigration issues. They have abandoned multicultural communities with the worst policy shift since mandatory detention

If anyone’s wondering how the reunion shows on the weekend went, they were excellent. I was filled with anxiety and dropped a bunch of parts in songs due to nerves but had a great time. Thanks to Moon Riot for the photos. moonriot.pixieset.com

Me, a middle aged, large, white man, wearing spectacles and a cap, with black shorts and a navy t-shirts crouched with one knee bent forward, playing my brown Ibanez lawsuit series bass on stage, looking into the camera.

Playing the second of two reunion shows for my band Just Say Go! Today, our first shows since 2010, which was our last reunion. I feel my age in my bones after last nights show. Have feet injuries from a bath incident (don’t ask) so hobbling around and my voice is shot from doing back up vocals…

In today’s edition, I bring you a song that I think of whenever it rains, as it is doing in my neck of the woods. Once upon a time I presented a punk radio show on community radio. I was introduced to this Danish group via a local record label and distro. #songsthatmademe youtu.be/IWRBKyfVOmI?...
