Winter is on its way, and getting vaccinated is one of the best ways to protect yourself and those around you. Eligible Londoners should get their flu vaccination as soon as they can to keep bugs at bay. Book via the NHS website, NHS App or by calling 119.

Behind every ambulance response is a team working around the clock. I met with Jason Killens, CEO of the London Ambulance Service to discuss how we can work together to save lives, tackle health inequalities, support our incredible NHS staff and build a healthier, safer London.

This stopped me in my tracks. An independent study by @qmul.bsky.social has found that after ULEZ was introduced, children’s lungs grew faster in Central London and have now caught up with children outside of the capital. Incredible.

Good healthcare should be easy to access. The new Brocklebank Health Centre is a fantastic addition to Wandsworth, bringing vital health services together under one roof and making it easier for local people to get the care they need closer to home.

London is making real progress. Road deaths have fallen as my Vision Zero strategy takes effect, including wider 20mph limits, redesigned high-risk junctions and new crossings. There’s more to do, but every step matters for keeping people safe across our city.
Graphic with the title “Traffic casualties in London are considerably lower than the national average.” Below the headline is a yellow box with the text: “London had 19% fewer road deaths in 2024, compared to 8% fewer road deaths nationally.” Beneath this is a line chart showing percentage change from 2015 to 2024 on the x‑axis, with values from 0% to –40% on the y‑axis. Two lines are shown: a dark purple line representing “People killed or seriously injured in London,” and a red line representing “People killed or seriously injured in Great Britain (excluding London).” Both lines show declines over time, with a sharp dip in 2020. The London line dips to around –35% in 2020 before rising again, ending at roughly –25% in 2024. The Great Britain line dips to about –20% in 2020 and ends at around –15% in 2024. A key at the bottom identifies the two lines. The source is listed as “TFL Road safety factsheet 2024.”
