One of our bargaining themes is a reasonable workload. Here’s a quote from LCCEA member Doug Young about teaching loads. #solidarty #union #bargaining #unionmembership #union #educators #faculty #UnionStrong #TogetherWeRise#UnionsForAll

Our heart belongs to public schools because they’re where every student can learn, grow, and thrive. Sending love to the educators and support staff who make it all possible. ❤️ #ValentinesDay

Should SB2 pass, it would allocate $1 billion in state funds, giving families up to $10,000 of taxpayer dollars per student each year to fund private school tuition—diverting critical resources from public schools that serve the majority of Texas students.

This has always been the GOP's strategy: 1) Cut taxes for the wealthy & corporations by claiming they'll pay for themselves. 2) Explode the deficit. 3) Demand cuts to programs that millions of people rely on. 4) Repeat. Don't let them get away with it.

I just got out of Linda McMahon's confirmation hearing, and one of my favorite lines was by @markey.senate.gov, when he called DOGE the "Department of Gutting Education"—because we know that is what Donald Trump plans to do. Our students and our schools deserve better.
