On the left yes, but the GOP really doesnt mind war crimes. They actually love them. RFK causing mass deaths and bringing back extinct diseases is something they might feel ambivalent about to the point they do something, but most of the elected GOPs dont care about hegseth.

Id rather get them to, but as of now I doubt we can pull enough votes in the senate for removal from GOP senators for Hegseth or Vought (RFK is probably managable). Patel has embarassed them enough doing things they hate that it'll be easier to peel off the needed 10-12 votes.

With how badly Patel has bungled major investigations and his repeated corruption revelations i would bet he's actually higher the Hegseth. Congressional GOPs love war crimes so hegseth is still in their good graces, but kash has fucked their whole "law and order" party vibe all the way up.

I would say the downstream effect of it hurting more news orgs is where it is bad for everyone else. They were already hurting from adblockers, but the one two punch of "advertising is weekend further" and "people just read what their agents/LLM delivers to them" is gonna hurt us all.

Meta in particular is gonna be in a weird place as advertising continues to destabilize as a viable income stream for them. Yeah. Anyone connected to tech has heard those claims for a long time. And there certainly are some companies who abuse the H1B system, but like Microsoft and adobe usually don't. This is slso stupid because it strangles input of potential AI researchers who making jumps that we should want.
