Some incredibly good news: One year ago this week, The Onion returned to print. In that one year, we’ve grown to the 13th largest print newspaper in the United States, just ahead of the Boston Globe, and growing fast. In short, it’s working. So… thank you. Thank you for helping save this thing.

Back to the fog and phantom trees slowly emerging from the eerie atmosphere of Scottish weather. Visually this kind of scene makes me feel like I am a stranger suddenly entering another land.

Just enjoyed the quietly confident ensemble playing of Kelly Macdonald and cast in Puzzle (2018, Marc Turtletaub) m.imdb.com/title/tt6933... on Netflix. A slow and lingering self actualisation and eventual emancipation.

Had a pleasant couple of days’ development as a gap in my schedule opened up. Very impressed with early indications of @nextjs.org. Routing made mad simple, SSG for SEO within a React app, Tailwind plumbed in, lazy loading as default, what’s not to like?⚛️🧑🏻‍💻💜

Lovely. So every car insurance company now knows precise journey data for opt-in customers. I'll bet that's worth hacking and flogging to the highest bidder. Ah but "you could access score-powered discounts"... So we WANT it, right? 🚗🧐🕵️

Screenshot of DriverScore (features) by U.K.-based ClearScore, which offers discounts on motor insurance plus other partnered consumer products based on an app recording 150 miles of your driving and producing a score from 1 to 1,000 using accelerometer and watch position geolocation data etc.

I asked if I could take his picture. Yes. I stepped across a band of shit. The pigeons began to frighten. Too close. A cloud of gray & blue & pink rushed at me. He looked up. Bare of birds. He said nothing. I stepped back. The birds returned. Together they ate. He said “Now,” & I took my picture.
