I semi-regularly decide that I must be a hypochondriac and don't actually need my meds, it's all in my head and I need to stop making a big fuss about nothing Then I skip them and feel like shit, stand up and subconsciously fall right back down to avoid blacking out, lose the ability to sleep, etc

My photo shows an ancient Greek pottery bowl with a rounded, deep body, wide open mouth and flared rim. It has a large handle shaped like a human leg, extending from the left side of the bowl in my photo, bending at a right angle and ending in a flat foot. The bowl has a camel-coloured surface decorated with dark brown geometric patterns, which include zigzags and meander motifs arranged in horizontal bands around the body of the bowl and along the leg. From Attica, Early Geometric period, circa 850 BC. It sits on a light stone coloured surface in a display case at the Altes Museum in Berlin.

It does actually happen and that's one way of knowing you're trying meds that are not the right fit for you! It's not just the "still depressed enough to want to, but now you have energy to try" problem; it can literally trigger ideation that wasn't there before (not all depression has ideation)

i used to hesitate addressing mat's trans-ness because i was worried about the backlash of having a trans male protagonist in a gay/BL story. but then i realized i don't ever want to cultivate an audience that hates trans people, hates me, and would hate my work. trans rights forever.

It's bad enough that for the past several years I've had insomnia due to my feet and legs inexplicably hurting when I'm in bed It seems like an unfair escalation to add whatever nerve pain is happening in my lower back/leg to all that 🙁 I'm not supposed to despair but I'm despairing!
