I stopped following YLE when she pivoted to trying to understand where MAHA is coming from, lending credibility to its grievances. Those are not the people to expend valuable energy on. They don't operate within the same reality.

Trump is signing an executive order today recommending that the MMR vaccine be separated into separate vaccines. There is no scientific basis for this recommendation. Separate measles, mumps and rubella vaccines are generally not available in the U.S. Vaccines do not cause autism.

Day 3 of the move. Day 1 was packing (professionals), Day 2 was loading (pros) and driving 7h, and today is unloading and unpacking. I'm mentally exhausted.

My pet peeve with target trial emulation. It presumes a clinical trial provides the best evidence for a question. Why do we pin good design and methodology to clinical trials? It's absurd! There have been tons of problematic and biased trials. Can we reframe it to a more reasonable anchor?

I'll summarize this: Mamdani asked NYers to keep air conditioning at 78 degrees. A wave criticism hit online. A MSNBC broadcast pointed out the US Department of Energy recommends that 78 degree figure. Immediately after, the US Department of Energy deleted 6,000 web pages related to energy saving.

I don't do multiple comparisons adjustments because my interpretation of results from the kind of studies that I do isn't based on a statistical threshold rule. I'll still see what they have to say, though.

Ticks don't discriminate and awareness shouldn't either. See how ticks and tick bites can appear across different skin tones, and learn what to watch for after spending time outdoors. Save and share to help spread awareness.

Probably not what you're going for, but a decision log should be maintained when there needs to be decisions more granular than outlined by the protocol or SAP. It can be a simple spreadsheet documenting the decision, rationale, and considered alternatives.
