Opposition to Israel never "spills over" to antisemitism. It may be embedded in antisemitic worldview to begin with or it isn't antisemitic at all. This metaphor of "spilling over" is unhelpful as it suggests the problem is excess.

On this day in 1910, a Czech Jewish woman was born. On the 10 Jun 1942 she was deported on transport AAh with her son (9). Of the 1000 on the transport only 3 survived. It is probable they were murdered in Sobibor. Her name was Marta Schiffová

Ridiculous things you can “prove” caused cancer mortality

Everything causes cancer. Sounds cliché; maybe those California warning tags were right all along. But thanks to the methodology created by Alwadi et al., we can now prove that anything and everything causes cancer. Oh, sorry, that is too strong of an assertion. To use the authors’ words, since they have claimed their papers don’t prove causality, we can create an association between any physical landmark and cancer and, from that association, figure out how much cancer is attributable to that thing. Which is totally not the same as saying “that thing causes cancer.”

For instance, living near a private four-year university is associated with a 15-fold increase in cancer mortality when compared

I lost friends over antisemitism in Labour. I tried to argue that the fact that people on the right were trying to use antisemitism as a weapon against Labour (and they were, in bad faith) did not mean that antisemitism did not exist in Labour (it did). This argument still echoes.
