Yikes, what? Like, what about it was crazy, and why? Now top leaders like AOC and Mamdani disavow defunding the police. Why?? Bizarre comment at best, indicative of a massive abandonment of the ideals of the socialist left at worst. Next will they say supporting trans people is “too woke”?

These include Brooklyn Public Library and Queens Public Library locations, as well as the following New York Public Library branches: St. George Library Center in Staten Island, the Bronx Library Center in the Bronx, and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library (the main branch) in Manhattan. Emergency Management is working to expand availability at additional distribution sites and will announce further locations if air quality worsens.

Hi Mayor! Coned reduced voltage for many neighborhoods uptown and in the Bronx. Wondering if the same considerations were taken for other parts of the city? We have elders in our building with disabilities who had no way of getting out of their apt because our building had to shut down the elevator

So amid the heat wave in NYC ConEd has reduced voltage levels. In addition to leaving thousands w/o power, many elevators are unusable, which strikes me as hugely discriminatory/ illegal for disabled and elderly folks. Not a lawyer but IMO ConEd should be sued over this. abc7ny.com/amp/post/vol...
