Day 9: Rest day yesterday bc muscles I hadn't used in years were sore as heck 😫 Did a walk around my hill incline neighborhood for the first time in mo ths and was not out of breath! Yoga stretches and breathing techniques for the win 😊 125 squats in 3 sets - yay booty!

My kid had long misdiagnosed hearing loss. When they finally diagnosed it they had to do surgery & put her in therapy for language dev, occupational & BM to help her along. In therapy I met so many parents who told me their kids had official ASD diagnosis, yet had never done a hearing test

For private sector assessors make sure to get confirmation on all their qualifications. Not everyone locally who says they are an assessor is fully qualified or up to date on assessment methods. Also, everywhere has a waiting list - could be up to 2 to 3 years, just be patient and apply for it.

If your child is nonverbal or speaks but not conversationally it does not automatically mean ASD, there are so many things it could be & some of those things need medical intervention ASAP. Even if you have to be on a long waitlist for full assessment, some tests like hearing can be done immediately

You might be right and they do have ASD or ADHD but they could also have other things including things that urgently need medical treatment or it could become permanent like certain kinds of hearing loss. Sometimes what you think is stimming is absence seizures. And there are so many other things

Please please please let your suspicion be accompanied by an assessment. Sometimes when I ask some of them what they used as ASD or ADHD qualifiers the info they had was inconsistent with both. For Jamaicans: you can register your young child for assessment at Early Stimulation Programme (waitlist)

Day 7: (With a rest on day 3 bc I was sore) Yoga exercises are definitely helping me actively move better through back pain I've had for 2+ yrs. Stretching has released so much muscle tightness in such a short time. As for the strength/weights exercises - 😫 they are not my strong suit.
