Kids around the world can cope with multilingualism but not New Zealand kids apparently- this is truly the government of dumbing things down

The 'random junk people have dumped in the community garden' leveled up over the weekend. This one isn't going to fit in my hard rubbish pile.
Boat on a trailer dumped in the community garden - the prow blocks the foot path and extends on to the nature strip. The boat has a small cabin. One of the windows are broken. It looks run down

Fonterra have literally said that they have no social responsibility to New Zealand, so imho NZ has no responsibility to give them another cent. Here’s a list of Fonterra brands to boycott. * Anchor * Fresh & Fruity * Kapiti * Mainland * Mammoth * Perfect Italiano Fuck em. #nzpol

Fun little drain garden outside Coburg Leisure Centre - I see drain gardens being taken out a lot now - without regular specialized maintenance they don't work as intended. Often the maintenance requirements weren't understood at install and are too much for the owners.
Stainless steel rectangular planter box. There is a grey pipe running down the side of the building and emptying into the far end of the planter box. The planter box has a couple of kangaroo paw and what looks like some native grass planted in it - the planting substrate looks very sandy

Very sad about the death of John Englart last week. Chihuahua's for Climate Action was brilliant and he will be very much missed in the Merri-Bek activist community.

The Mackintosh font is very Glasgow. A bit random for industrial Melbourne.
Big wire mess fence with real estate sign attached - the sign says 'Hocking mini warehouses' in a type font of Charlie Rennie Mackintosh

Just casually helping the kids clean their room and now I have questions. Who's hand is this? We don't know. Where is the rest of them? No idea.
Small pinkish plastic hand with long fingers and black fingernails on a white desk top. There is a texta lid beside it. The hand is much smaller than the texta lid

Finally got around to watching Heston's bipolar documentary. Heart breaking - if you know anyone with bipolar you should watch it. I'm type 2 so I don't see much of myself in his highschool - but watching him struggle with the impact of the meds is so real to me

Someone left this old energy monitor for me at work. They found it in the shed. Would have been peak tech in its time - it's still got the original price tag on - $264 AUD. You can get a reasonable equivalent of this for $40 AUD now.
Yellow orange box with a picture of something that looks a bit like a plug socket with a screen attached to the side. The text says 'Voltcraft Plus Energy Monitor'. There is a small white price sticker on the picture which says '$264.00'

Interesting choice to drive this big SUV/Ute thingy around with the company's commitment to net zero carbon emissions by 2030 plastered all over.
Big black and green ute. Has an exhaust so not electric. On the back window in big white letters it says 'Net Zero Carbon Emissions By 2030'

City of Melbourne posting this at the same time as the announcement no Greenline is amusing (for sad policy people like me). Seems like the finger is being pointed pretty hard at the State Govt.
Screen shot of City of Melbourne Facebook post. The post says Melbourne listened to its community when they said parks and green space are top priority and has allocated $44 million in it's budget to new open space, pocket parks and urban forest fund

Very disappointed at the news in Melbourne with no additional funding for Greenline. Yes it was an expensive project, but transformative urban projects that retrofit nature into badly designed concrete public space are expensive. Being costly doesn't mean not worthwhile
