I got completely ABBA-ed out in the late '70s but I've grown fond of them again.

Thanks for your company on a grand trip down memory lane, TOTP peeps! So much better than watching it all by myself. #TOTP #NotTOTP #1976atTheBBC

Music!! Another one that's left us. 😢 Didn't realise it at the time, but my love for this song earmarked me as someone destined to become an Alan Parson's Project fan. #TOTP #NotTOTP #1976atTheBBC

When this was in the charts, Roussos was described as a "warbling Greek pudding". (Can't remember whether it was on the radio or in the NME.) #TOTP #NotTOTP #1976atTheBBC

For old time's sake, I tried headbanging to a song a couple of years ago. Big mistake. HUGE! .

A very fresh-faced Mr. Ure there. Who was the eejit stylist that came up with the baseball shirts? #TOTP #NotTOTP #1976atTheBBC

1976 was a bumper year for great music, though most of it wouldn't have featured on TOTP.

Keith Richards might not have been a fan, but I absolutely love Fool to Cry. Fond memories of the Capital Hitline. #TOTP #NotTOTP #1976atTheBBC

My mother always made them with lard but while I loved the crispiness it gives, I didn't like the flavour it imparts. The white Trex is the nearest thing I've found to lard for making them really crispy without the unwelcome taste. 🙂

The white one is brilliant for making really crispy roast tatties.
