I'm touched by how many people have shared kind words about Ent, thank you everyone. The funeral is arranged for 12th March at 10am at Stockport Crematorium in the Rowan Chapel and the service is open to anyone. Afterwards there'll just be a small private meal for family. -Angela

So, the dreaded health update! A lot have already been informed or can make a good guess based on recent tweets, but to confirm I am now on The Endgame. The last viable cancer treatment has failed, so movement now is solely towards keeping me as comfortable as possible and able to stay at home.

There are a few things that have made the last few weeks so much more bearable:- * Friends visiting. It's become more difficult now people are back at work, but I have appreciated every moment people have spent with me. And hopefully once I'm home again there'll be more chances!

Another long week spent in a hospital with noisy people, disoriented wanderers, uncomfortable beds and grim toilets (and this is one of the nicer NHS hospitals). But hopefully I'll be home again tomorrow or Wednesday and then able to avoid the place for a bit. We shall but see!

Another day, another hospital tube now attached. Only this time they've managed to drain a litre of fluid from my lungs via it. That's only the first drain too, but already the improvement to my breathing is immense! 1 whole litre though!!

Currently my little calendar widget for all of January only has birthday reminders showing it, with not one single event booked in. While the health reasons behind this are clear, it's still so weird a thing to see especially as they were each colour coded!

Being stuck in bed all day every day is really starting to get to me now. I just feel so useless and struggle to stay comfortable. But I've not yet worked out any position out of the bed which isn't even worse either on my back, neck, or swollen legs.

The cats have been neutered today. We were led to believe they'd be all groggy after the anaesthetic so keeping them isolated for healing would be easy. Instead they are manic! It's a good job the mother is here with us too at the moment as it's requiring two people full time!

I've not been able to move much from the bed this past week, so I've really appreciated all the friends and family who've visited and helped keep me sane. And throughout this all, my wife has definitely been like a rock and I can never thank her enough!

Four days in and I'm now in my third isolation ward, but yes I'm still in the hospital. The good news is they're happy things look to be going in the right direction with the infection and are now just trying to bring down swelling and monitoring lots. The aim is to have me out before Saturday!

Well they have me on a private isolation ward now. I was rushed here last night out of fear I've picked up an infection given the readings for temperature and breathing that were showing. And now they're so concerned given my immunocompromised nature they want to avoid any additional risk!

You really couldn't make this up! Given the kittens, this year I rerouted all outside xmas lights to all go into the garage to avoid them chewing any wires. Set it up yesterday fine. And today we found the wires have been chewed through by (we assume) the urban foxes instead! xD

The kittens are certainly growing fast, having almost doubled in size in just the month we've had them. But they still know how to look adorable when they need to!

Two kittens on a sofa alongside my leg in Primani's finest garb. The tabby, Tamello, is curled up at the top of my leg and rolled over on his back. The black and white, Thwip, is lying by my feet. Both are fast asleep!

It's been a busy few weeks dealing with the sibling kittens, something which has gotten even worse this week when they started showing aggression to each other (unusual at only 14 weeks) so we have had to isolate them. You'd not guess this little guy was the instigator...

Having twin kitties is certainly fun. We've found they can both use a litter tray fine, but one is terrible at covering poops as he keeps missing any litter and just scratches at plastic. His brother comes along 2 minutes later, looks utterly unimpressed, and covers it up properly! xD

Being such staunch defenders of everyone's privacy and safety from stalkers, does that mean Bluesky finally have protected accounts now? Or is it still just a checkbox that softly recommends not to crawl you but doesn't enforce it so any third party clients can ignore it?

As this is the first time I've managed to book both COVID and flu booster together (yes, 4 years in they've finally updated the booking system), it's also the first time I've been able to compare effects from them. Leftie (Moderna) is definitely aching more than rightie (flu)!
