Non-snarky question: why? China does the most business with Iran, but UAE, Turkey, Iraq and others are major partners (I think UAE & Turkey exceed India), and given Iran's currency has already devalued 40% in the last year, such sanctions seem very meaningful. The bigger ? to me is enforcement.

The tension is easily solved by demanding people work a certain amount, period, to receive UBI (with obvious exceptions for the disabled). The relative extra salary/prestige/etc. will incentivize people to aspire to better jobs.

Repeating suggestion for Dems: Instead of Medicare for All, propose lowering the eligibility age to 62 *and* pitch this as pro-worker. It enables more people to take early retirement (matches social security), freeing jobs, relieves older workers with ACA plans of big burden.

All true, but don't put too much stock in these polls: Trump exceeded polls in 2016 and 2024 and his biggest issue was immigration/nativism - Dems need to at least give lip service to these things. There actually are laws against birth tourism - wouldn't hurt for Dems to mention that.
