Summary: From an ocean of deep midnight blues and the white-hot anger of crashing waves, a Being was born. At the same time, another Being was born from the ashes of unyielding sand and arid earth. They met in a hall filled with forgotten frames and pulled closer together under each passing moon.

Moodboard capturing the vibes of the fic. Half of it is an eery misty ocean vibe and the other half is a hazy sandy sunny vibe. In the middle is a photo of a grandiose art/museum hall.

a screenshot of a fanfiction blurb from ao3. text reads:

Chapter 13

summary:

As Soul Weavers, they are children of the night; they don’t need the light to guide them. Senses heightened, in tune to that which is unseen by the mundane world, they are already aware of each other, see each other in a way light can only obstruct and distract. Jungkook’s eyes dilate, not to let in the light, but because of Jimin. He feels the other doing the same. Honing to recognize each other’s unique manipulation of the energy around them, the space shrinks around them. Right now, they are the only two that exist.

“So how will this work? I bring you halfway to hell, and you tell me your game, or have you reconsidered we talk civilly?”

“Civil? Not a chance.” Jungkook smiles, teeth glinting in the moonlight.

Screenshot of the summary for the posted fic. It is black text on a white background, text reads:

What does it mean to find yourself among the stars?

The answer is simple. To find yourself among the stars means joining a chorus of quiet echoes like a stringed melody reverberating in the interstitial space of two apartments, like water against the sides of a pool, like becoming the dying lights in the sky.

Mood board for a fic that will be released soon. The board is made up of five photos. Top left is a photo of Taehyung of BTS from layover era. Bottom left is a photo of a violinist’s hand playing the violin. The middle photo is like you’re looking down into the semi turbid water of a pool, the pool has white and green tiles. Top right is a pink hued photo of white and pale pink orchids. Bottom right is a photo of Jimin of BTS in a white tank top and this photo also has a pink hue.

Ik many people say it’s not worth it to publish traditionally or independently but w/how fandom and the internet has treated art over the past few years, it’s hard to write in the spaces that I relied on/cherished… but I feel like one day I’d really like to publish just to say “hey I did that!!”

This is also an excellent reminder to all my fic writer friends: it's not about skill or lack thereof, because so much of what gets "big" in fandom is a matter of luck. Getting that one crucial retweet or shoutout can make all the difference. And there's not a whole lot you can do about it.

a post from the BTS ARMY Central subreddit:

Thank you from Heroes for Children
Join
Recently, at the concert in Dallas, there is a viral video of Jimin giving Olivia a keychain. Because of that kind moment, my wife's organization has been flooded with donations from fans across the world.
It's so crazy that it happened overnight and was unplanned. The tickets given to the girls were donated to the organization and were just a very cool experience for them; no one expected the interaction or love from the community.
To put it in perspective, a country singer hosted an entire charity concert in the last year or so specifically to donate to Heroes for Children, and the crowd there donated less than 1/4th of what the BTS community has given without even asking them to.
It has been super fun researching all of the different currency types that we rarely see. Thank you!

If You Give a Crocodile a Coin 🐊 Poly (JK/JM/NJ/HS/SJ) 🐊 74k, explicit, complete 🐊 Crocodile hybrid JK 🐊 Morally grey fluff 🐊 For @btsforcedcarefest.myatproto.social archiveofourown.org/works/805662...

9 square moodboard

Top 3 images left to right: a storm water drain tunnel, a pond reflecting the moon, and jungkook from a qatar behind the scenes where he is in all black swimming with wet hair

Middle 3 images left to right: a pond with trees and the rising sun in the background, a dwarf crocodile (jk’s species), and a pile of shiny pennies

Bottom 3 images left to right: jk from in the soop sleeping with his head in his hand, a cozy bed with white blankets, and a large backyard pool

AO3 fic description

"Hi, little guy. Did you bring me something today?" Jimin asks.

Jungkook nudges the pouch towards Jimin with his snout, keeping his hind end in the water.

"Oh, are these the things you collect? Did you want to show me?" Jimin asks, and Jungkook preens at the excitement in his voice. Jimin slowly takes out each item, admiring the pretty gemstones on the hair clip and giggling at the little alien figurine.

"He kind of reminds me of you," Jimin says, and Jungkook tilts his head in confusion. He doesn't think he looks much like an alien. "Very cute and small."

Jungkook huffs. Crocodiles aren't cute and small; they're scary and strong. He's a predator; even if he isn't quite top of the food chain, he's far closer to it than some tiny plastic alien would be. He'd eat that alien for lunch.

~~~
Curiosity may have killed the cat, but crocodiles are built tough. Crocodile hybrid Jungkook is certain that following his own curious nature is perfectly safe, even when it leads him into a house full of humans, the one species he's always been taught not to trust. But...they shower him with shinies and snacks, so surely these humans can't be so bad.
